HLG 260, how many for a 7x6 room?

Heatsink £14
two boards £58
Driver £35-40

£107-112 per 2x4 space, plus a some 1mm twin and earth for a few quid and some chain to hang.
Hey man saw your response in the other thread, thanks so much to all of you for the help, I am clueless about any tech so I know my questions must be annoying lol. I found a HLG official distributer that sells the HLG heat sinks and boards.

Triple heat sinks get 3 and run them accross the grow room 220 pounds:

three of these per heat sink 494 pounds:

then get three drivers from somewhere else?

I am so illiterate in this stuff, not sure if these are all compatible?

I’ll give u that they are way cheaper I just don’t trust their uv for ugh u can go many ways that would be better than chips im using agromaxpureuvs just don’t sit under them or look at them at all when their on but led chips that emit uv are garbage change my mind and no fighting I want proof and facts with uv If anyone wanna wanna provide you see the f chips are worth go for it but Ik for fact that these bars work for uv I’m using used led chips for a while didn’t have the result as I had with the pureuvs

You're asking about a 6x7 space. If you add three 2x4 spaces together you get a 6x4 space. It's not that their statement isn't true, it's just that your math is off.
2x4 x 3 is 6x12 isn't it? Also they say can flower 2x4 or 3x3, wouldn't 3x3 be 9x9?

more talking about info on the chips what chips with uvb/uva ratio and how much they actually produce under a spectrometer against other uvb/a methods and ive noticed uva does jack shit just makes terpenes a little more poppin but once u give it uvb/a during the last 3 weeks of flower you'll have same results just more thc and the smells are pungent. another big mis info is that it helps grow plants while thats ok with the uva but with uvb it causes damage and activates the uvr8 that produces a layer of trichomes to protect the plant from the uvb

no 3 x 3x3 would be 3x9, you only multiply one digit not both. Unfortunately :bigjoint:

Its not annoying answering questions mate, we were all in the same boat before we got our heads round it.

You could get those triple heat sinks, but since you would need 3 boards per heat sink and you need more kits than you think ,it would add up to more than you think.
In the case of 3 boards you would use a 320 driver and they are much more expensive than the newer xlg 240 drivers.
But you could use 4 kits that way, still going to be a lot more expensive than 5 kits with the xlg, two boards per kit and heatsink for diyled.

This all relies on diyled having those heat sinks in stock though.

I will chat with you tomorrow if you still have unanswered questions, its me bed time!

and each of those chips are like 3 dollars a pop when I looked so not really worth
Here are the UVA bars they used in that test (Contains UVA LED 365nm + 385nm), but yes they are pretty pricey: https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/collections/quantum-boards/products/hlg-30-uva-supplement

ahh only uva see that's where their going wrong they need to use more lower nm and it that thing does not cover a 4x4 no way because with a 4ft bar that covers the whole 4x4 at 30 inches plus above the canopy but you will see a huge difference from uvb compared to a once u try it youll never wanna go back to just uva been using the pure uvs from agromax I would love to get a spectrometer and a par meter to see exactly whats given to the whole 4x4 but I know their is gonna be a hot spot since its a t5-ho but it only needs to be activated but I do think the more uv it has the more it produces thc ect wise not weight because I have noticed atleast a 15% loss in yield but all the product is sellable in bud/or banging ass edibles

I just run 1 4foot bar in the exactly middle of my 4x4 so im running 2 of them in a 4x8 so their in the exact same spot for the same so maybe a little bit of interloping maybe

when I do the math that's only like 900 watts your gonna need 1500 to do the whole room don't cheap out
Dafuq are you saying? 35' feet is 3' from a 4X8's 32. 600-800watts will murder that space. So yes, 3 will do great. I'd get 4 though and dim if needed

They claim to flower a 2x4 space, so would 3 of these really be enough for a 7x6 room? Thinking of buying tonight while on offer, but unsure if their claims are true?
people laughed at me when i replaced my 600hps with 300 of qb solskin i am happy with it and i do get more then my hps due to been able to get closer no heat and so on

Dafuq are you saying? A 7x6 room is 42 sq ft. @ 35w/sq st, total wattage needed is 1470.
