We made some change ups on the bean popping.
Started a pack of Kashmir Daydream to run next to our Kashmir 91X (the artist formerly known as Kashmir Christmas) pollen chuck to see how ours compared to the main man Mr. B's version Not expecting a fair fight but hope to see some similarities. [really like running similar genetics strains next to each other to watch for similarities and it makes it easier to compare them]

Also started a few more new ones:
Frostbite (Too Buku #26 x '91 Christmas)
SkidMarX (DLA5 #13 x '91 Christmas) moved up timeline on these bc we had some growers interested in it.
Over Yonder (Vintage Pakistani #1 x BSHW)

Next up in a couple few days is:
OK Pak Af (Vintage Pakistani #2 x Kandahar Afghan)

Then onto:
God's Paintbrush - looking to find a 1:1 THC:CBD ratio pheno like Bodhi had posted on their IG. Bamboodan has some really awesome pictures of his tester plants of these and had a very nice report on it.
Huckleberry Web - looking for another high CBD strain to have available for the community. I've grown some Mt. Hood Huckleberry before so I'm hoping that will help me pick out the Charlotte's Web leaners. Trying to avoid having to test each plant because it's a little expensive still.

Backed out on growing the pure Ethiopian right now because we already have our super wild Sativa for this year (Parvati) and after watching the @Ailalelo thread now at 12 weeks and no buds, realizing this might not be a good strain for homegrowers here.

Both look like you did a fine job! Which did you like best? What was your favorite Bodhi (or other) strain that you've grown?

If you could find Elemental seed's True OG, let me know. Possibly my favorite seed pack next to Kandy Kush/OG#18 from Reserva Privada, but I've been buying packs of RP and they haven't been the same since 2012...

Never heard of Elemental before. I'll keep an eye out for the pack but looks like the tude is out of stock. I've heard of Reserva Privada but never have run any of their gear before.

What did you like about those plants so much? I think we have so many genetics to work with now, you could barely even grow all of them, and I bet we could help you find something similar and hopefully better

This is the '79 Christmas Tree Bud #2 in the pollen chuck tent vegging out and getting ready for her big night with the Too Buku male. After a couple weeks of vegging in this new tent, she's starting to express herself and her blue hair (leaf color) is starting to really come out.



How cool is this? You can see the contrast with the green/yellow leaves underneath from the clone. Leaves feel leathery too. Really hope this trait continues in the offspring. Will be fun to play with this for sure.

Also, I don't think that Reserva Privada is top notch like pre-2012. I liked TGA's Vortex, but it's also different now. It seems like a lot of my favorite seed packs are not the same quality anymore and I probably missed out... The only OG kush that my wife enjoyed was RP's Kandy Kush(OG kush x Trainwreck).

I ran some stuff from Crockett Family Farms and it seems legit and I would like to try more of their menu. RareDankness was pretty solid and I ran their StarKiller, Scotts OG, GTH#1, and Ghost of LeeRoy. I want to run another pack of GTH#1 and do the sativa learners outside this time. I didn't have the room for stretchy ones with long internode spacing.

Most of the Bodhi strains that I liked are no longer available because they were Appalachia and Snow Lotus crosses. However, I did find that a lot of the wookie crosses are spot on. I think that a OG crossed with wookie would be interesting. I stopped running so many seed packs here lately and started focusing on soil.

I'd love to see her coloration in natural light. She looks like she could be gorgeous, nice job.

I know that it took a couple of days to get the pics up. I had a family member break their leg helping me cut some trees down. I seem to run into bad luck often... Anyways, I really haven't transplanted yet because I didn't want to ruin the roots. I like to have all of the soil come out of the pot when I transplant. I have only watered with rain water so far. I hope that you can zoom in and see the strain... I grouped them in order of how healthy they looked, the first group are ready to go...

I have 12 earthboxes and 4x Gavita 1000's on a light rail for this room and I was going to set up a double layer screen. My homemade Gro-kashi was looking kind of old, so I'm taking a timeout until I get more in the mail. It will give the smaller clones a little time to catch up anyways.


Here are the KNF ferments that I am using. Comfrey FPE, EM1, and FPJ made from a massive roma tomato plant. I had about 2 gallons of the tomato FPJ and it was the best stuff that I have ever used, it was a trial and I was sold on it. I think that it helps that the tomato plant that I used was a high brix plant because I got a lot of extract from it. The Build A Soil product is similar but it's more a JADAM recipe and it's new to me but it will replace my FPJ that I fell in love with. I have a flower period FFJ made from banana that my wife made for us. It smells like banana bread.

Those earthboxes take me back! Looks like the clones about ready, but no rush to transplant them. I've been torturing one male and left him in a clone pot now for almost 9 months now. He's about 3.5' tall now and still going strong. Pretty unreal what these plants can do. Your setup should produce nice 5' tall plants with several ounces on them. Plenty of light with 4x 1000s. Do you veg with the hps?
You have a great selection so I'm also looking forward to seeing how they do in your setup with the ferments.

Are you talking about Mung bean? I remember the Jackie Chan cartoon in the 90's was always talking about mung beans being good for digestion lol. I was using malted barley seed as a top dressing between the mycelium mat and compost. It is supposed to have enzymes(chitinase) that break down chitin. I'm sure that other grains have it too and not just barley. Anyways, if you use crab meal it should help turn it into a usable form in your soil. I might stop by the brew store and get another 50lb bag of malted barley.

Couple raised bed gardens is all you really need for for soup and salad. Don't want to cut down a few trees? Maybe keep the oaks and just cut down a couple pine trees and it should give you a nice swath for some sun.

I feel bad about cutting down trees and I had to cut about 20 of them to get this far...

At least those are mostly small junk trees, not like oaks. Be thankful you didn't have this one to cut down. This was close to a 100' tall eucalyptus this volunteer buddy of mine cut down improperly. Almost destroyed my neighbors camper and came about 10' from hitting her house. Felling trees is dangerous!


I remember my heart stopped when I heard the crack and saw the tree lean towards the neighbors house. He could have killed someone with that tree. Took the fella a couple months to cut it all down and fix everything. At the farm, we had a guy with a D4 knock em down like dominos. That's probably the safest and quickest way.

Then you can burn it all and make a bunch of biochar to add to your garden. Bio char is the bomb and really makes a nice healthy soil.

I was burning it in my fireplace and I would wash the ash from the char and put it in my outdoor worm bin. This was 100% leaves from my yard and they were about a year old when I added them into the worm bin. This pic was labeled 12-8-2018 and it was the same day that I added it to my worm bin. It's ready now for an outdoor grow this summer. It should be 2 1/2yrs old when I plant into it.



I make homemade Grokashi 10gal at a time, so I dedicated half of it to the worm bin. It's the best thing that I did for it, the population exploded after this. I used a lot of alfalfa and rock dust, mostly greensand and azomite with a little basalt and oyster flour. This was right before a snow storm and bokashi kept the worm bin nice and toasty, it was literally steaming
