DIY with Quantum Boards

Thank you @Stephenj37826 that makes sense and calms my anxiety that somehow things got mixed up.

For anyone else interested, these do look pretty awesome!

I can't find datasheets on the 2835 HE 'plus' but here is their 2835 line and it has specs on the 2835 HE.

The 2835s we use are lumileds 2835 he plus. They are just as efficient as lm561c in our testing. The cost more actually. They can handle more power and thier lm80 data looks really good too. Package size does not indicate quality. Lots of junk 3030s and 5630s out there as well.....
Very relieved to hear this. Ive been recommending those to damn near everyone that asks about LED lately and got concerned there for a bit.

I figured it had to be something like that. Thanks for the clarification! I'm very curious about how/why you came to use these diodes in place of the 561C, and whether or not you intend to offer these new v1 boards on a continuing basis?

Well would you believe it, turns out the sky wasn't falling in at all.
Can we call them v1.01 ?

Any plans to knock up some 90cri v1s dude?

Bro all you new guys on this site do is make outrageous claims with nothing to back it up, you make these dumb charts up that mean nothing. Those lights are junk PCB board lights, oldest LED grow light tech on the market, if you want to see those things smashed up go watch @REALSTYLES break his mars hydro LED, that's the tech those lights use. Junk PCB board tech.
The arrogance.... This is what he said about Quantum Boards on the first page. Eating those words now...

Yeah, happy as I am with the way this turned out (and frankly a little excited to geek over new, different diodes), I do have to say it's strange that they called these v1 boards. I suppose it's simply because they are of comparable performance, but calling them v1.5, or v2-eco, or v3-lite (or anything to make it clear these don't use LM561C), would go a long way toward staving off confusion like this in the future.

Daddy gots him a new toy and daddy like ....

Beautiful sturdy rig ... seems to have a dim adjust port . Looking forward in testing in a 3x3 setup.
Reflector is very sturdy and not flimsy at all. I have to say they packed this unit with the upmost care in shipping.

You can see one of the OG boards from 2015 ( 304 V1 ) .... still doing it’s thing . I remembered when they wrote the bench test Vf numbers on each board ... lol.

Thanks @Stephenj37826 for the offer on this fine looking rig.
