Light airy buds - what to do?

I’m coming up on starting my 3rd grow and wanted to ask this question before beginning to see if there’s anything I could change regarding environment, nutes etc to improve how the buds turn out.

My first grow was using random bag seed and ended with pretty airy buds with no real density.

I read up on it and most what I could find said it’s either genetics or lighting.

For my 2nd grow I ordered seeds from an online bank and put a second light in the tent.
One of the plants (Zkittlez) turned out the best in terms of bud formation and density. It was also my only plant in coco, the other two in soil.

The other two in the same tent didn’t turn out so well.
The GelatOG turned out very light and airy like my first grow...

The Strawberry Cheesecake Fox tailed badly, which I know is usually light/heat related..

Is there anything I should change or keep in mind to assure a good product at the end?

Overview of my setup:
DIY tent 62” tall, 58” wide, 22” deep

1 cheap full spec LED (102w output)

1 SunSystem HPS 150 (had issue with it running a bit hot)

2 fans (one is oscillating, one not)

I use GH FloraSeries, fabric pots.

4” intake fan and carbon filter to move air out. Havent gotten a fan to move air into tent yet I usually keep a flap open.

Temps run around 70-75°F and humidity varies from 35-55% usually depending on time of year. Try to keep it higher in veg and lower in flower for the most part.

Youre still on the fairly low end on where you want to be for light for that space. If you were not running them as close as you could without burning them, most of it still wasnt getting enough light. 30w per square foot for good led 50w per square foot for other lighting are considered minimums. with a combination youd probably need somewhere in the middle around 40 with a decent led fixture, you have around 25.
Better control of your temp and humidity will also help.

when i grew with HPS my buds always looked like yours. I know some people get amazing results with it but i could never manage the heat. Switched to quantum boards and my nug is denser than ever.

Your floor space dimensions are suited to a 1000W HID.
