Barney’s 3 pack gorilla zkittlez an 8ball kush along with 3p of kera blue cheese. 9 plants altogether under one 600w MH/HPS setup. 7 gallon smart pots, any suggestions on vegging for max yield? I’m looking for at least a pound but would b stoked for 25 ounces. I can veg as long as I want but would b nice to harvest by the end of May so I have a little time to setup my outdoor. My MH is about 30 inches from my 7 day old seedlings they were at 4 feet away a few days ago . if you see anything wrong with my seedlings or set up pls inform me. Lights just got switched from 24 hrs str8 to 20-4 temp 72-78 with humidity around 50% give or take 5%...may have 13 yrs of growing at 27 years of age lol but still a student of the game an more of an outdoor grower this is only my 2nd indoor grow. Oh the tent is a 5x5x7. The gorilla and BC are indica 60/40 hybrids with the 8ball (Hindu kush ancestry) being either fully indica or 80+%. Who got knowledge on the grow patterns or stretch of these 3 strains anybody??

first off welcome aboard.

That 600w isnt gonna cover anymore than a 4x4 footprint, and even then its pushing it. For an example, when i was growing in a 4x4 tent with my 600w hps, i was growing 4 plants in 5g fabric pots, vegged for 4-6 weeks and I had a full tent by harvest. the outside edges will suffer tho, as i mentioned, the 600w wont hit outside 3.5x3.5 optimally.

7g pots and 9 plants under a 600w just seems like all around bad math lol.

9 plants and i woulda used 2g pots, 3g max. Very short veg time
7g pots i would grow no more than 4 under a 600w...normal 4-6 weeks veg and you have a good footprint your light can cover.

You either need a 1k fixture or another 600w/400w to throw in there imo.

Yeah buddy it seems like bad math but I got 25 square feet right in the 5x5.. the pots are about a foot around, I want each plant to be about 2 feet around or twice the size of the pot in the end taking up about 85% or whatever at 18 square ft. Get what I mean? And I can add another light.. the 600 Mh is gonna cover most of the 9 excellent for veg I would say right?

oh for veg the 600w will smash a 5x5 nicely for sure.....its the flowering part the 600w will be lacking over that size of space.

I see what your getting at and your math adds up, your just gonna have to be strict to make sure you flip them early enough, because 9 plants in 7g pots at full size are gonna create a jungle in there lol

Also bro you do know that a 4x4 is 16 sq feet where a 5x5 is almost double eh

I should be able to haul about 2.5oz each plant under two 600s using only one 600 for veg I would think
I was pulling 16-18 ozs from the 600w/4x4 setup.

Ya if your using 2 600s for flower , you will do well for sure. sorry if i missed that part. Wasnt sure if you were just using the single 600w for entire grow

lol really? i woulda never thought!!!!

lol
i wasnt basing it off the ft2 for growing, i was basing it off the coverage of a 600w light.

no 600w is covering any 5x5 for flowering. veg yes, but flowering, no chance. That was the point of my post, if you had said you were using a second 600w for flower, i prob wouldnt have even posted in this thread lol.

This is where I neeed your opinion dawg, how long does it take to veg these suckaz out to being a nice bush with half a foot of plant outside the pot

i truly dont know, any answer i give would be a guess.

I havent grown in 7g pots, only 5s or 10s, both with long veg.

I did grow 9 plants in 3g pots, they vegged for 54 days and overcrowded the tent.

It’s crazy dude 16 to 25 ft squared in difference but only seems like a foot.. so you think il be fine vegging but il need another 600 for flower eh? And it was kind of a question of will I get away with a 600w or need the 2nd light, also How many days from now max,u think il be out of room and have to switch to flower? And how much hotter will the room be with another 600 air cool in there

And I’m using advanced nutrients micro grow and bloom and fed them a tiny micro feeding yesterday of like 0.2ml of each in a 3gal jug, and got sum voodoo juice on the way an il get sum big bud for bloom. Any suggestions on feeding schedule or whaat

Yes i def think a 600w will veg that area fine. Maybe look into some led lighting to go around the perimeter outside the 600ws coverage? that might be a good combo and will also help keep the heat under control a bit better than another 600w. Problem with 2x 600s is still coverage, neither will hit 5` in any direction.

if i had to guess, id say 3-4 weeks max or when they are 12-16" tall? as i said tho, only a guess

I use all general hydro products, im using H3ad formula, its tried and tested by many growers much smarter than I. so i have no expierence with other brands or feeding schedules. I would imagine sticking with the bottles ratios will work.

Nice I’ve used bunch of diff shit man outdoors for last 13 years, flora 1 part grow n bloom is alright, but I’ve used time release b4 outside it’s called dagda and u just make a little trench 6-8 inch or so around ur plant and scramble 1 shot glass of the grow twice for veg and 1 shot of bloom in the soil around August 5th or so like a week into bloom , and it carried nutrients str8 thru super nice green plants and only started yellowing at tail end it was excellent and I didn’t have to bother Ph or mix nothin! I get bout a pound off every 3 outdoors of R2 and skunk freezeland clones there finished middle of September clone only I get 40 unrooted clones for like 100 bux from this guy I used to sell for lol.. but yeah ok brotha let’s get a full spectrum LED for bloom then whaa? What light do I buy I got 200 bucks ish to fuck with

Unfortunately, us Canadians cant buy a decent led for $200 ....good ole loonie yo

With $200 to spend, im assuming the 600 hps will be the best bang for your buck. The only leds you get for $200cdn are the shitty amazon blurples, 600w hps will always outperform those slugs.

I did the rough math on that and im not sure its doable at $200 canadian.

He would want atleast 320w, maybe even 480w....thats $120-160 just for a driver here in Canada ffs.

Maybe he could get away with a 240 driver and buy like 16 bxeb gen2s....use some aluminum angle from hardware store....that would be much closer to $200 cdn

I see some viper spectra 600 UL certifies for around 2 bills.. there’s a tmlapy and aglex there like 1200-1500 cob led with 310 true watts is that better than the 600 HPS for flower or nah ?
