When to start counting?

Why would you come reply in a section called newbie central and then react like that?
And what does trying both options have to do with asking WHEN i should do it?
Do you even understand what i was asking?
For the love of god please learn to read
Because you will have very smart people from both camps convince you that either flushing is bs and is bad for the end product or that it is the way to get the best weed and the only way you’ll ever learn is by doing both ways yourself. I’m being nice to a newbie asking a question that they could have taken the time to google themselves but I won’t waste time on you again, you sound like a punk.

Why do you think there is a newbie central?
Every question here you could google yourself

I tried to tell you in my first post. Just to ignore any of these guys with negative attitudes :). I knew as soon as I saw your question the way that some would post about it, and taint instantly proved me right before I could even respond to your post.

Well some people even when the most famous breeders tell them it’s from flip don’t want to accept it. Others can’t take help and insist on hearing only what they want to hear. Another day on a pot forum.

Keep counting from flip instead of watching for the plant to be actually ready.

most growers old and new (I would guess 75%) still cut their plants too early.

I’m currently flowering a dinafem critical+ one of the strains I love growing and have grown it since 2010 from seed every time.

Ask me how long I’ve been flowering for? I dunno.

ask me when she’ll be ready? When she’s ready.

ask me how quickly it should be ready according to breeder information? 45-50 days.

so you’re telling me that Dinafem have found a strain that actually only fully flowers for 30-36 days. Yeah right. I’ve never had one finish in that time. Probably more like 65-75 days from flip.

why don’t I count my flowering time. Because I've got better things to do with my time than work out how many days I’ve been flowering for.
Going by breeders recommended times I would have cut these down about 2 weeks ago but it’s not ready.

it’s not ready because it took nearly 14 days to Transition to flowering properly.

maybe another 2-3 weeks left maybe! But again it doesn’t matter to me how long they take.

Also included a bottom leaf shot for reference anyone who tells you your bottom leaves will be first to die off! Hmm really?

As for flushing it’s a hot topic between the die hard pro flushing and the die hard no flushers.

personally I don’t flush. I reduce my nutrient strength towards the latter stages of flowering but I never fully cut out nutrients!

ive done both.

I also have researched about reverse osmosis within rootzones and the symbiotic relationships that happen in the rhizosphere and how they are effected from flushing vast amounts of plain water through rootzones even with chemical nutrients there are still symbiotic relationships happening in the rhizosphere of your plants.

Right now if i trow in 400ppm water my run out is at 1100ppms and i am in week 7 of flower
Does that mean that my soil has alot of salts build up?
I heard the last week run off should be at around 200-400ppms i hope i can make that happen as last time i did not flush at all

To be honest I don’t check my runoff.
I’m a coco grower and I only ever feed at 650ppm .5cal or 850ppm .7cal and I feed every single day

so what your runoff should be I don’t honestly know.
Isn’t loco coco a mix of coco and soil? not sure if you should treat it like soil or like coco?

I gauge my plants reactions to nutrients to judge whether to increase or decrease my input solution.

Lmao yeah this same old question. Ignore anyone with an attitude like taint first of all, because it’s foolish to act that way.

Secondly it’s not specifically 10 weeks, the plants don’t grow by a calendar. There is no real point in worrying about how many weeks because it won’t be done until it’s done. The breeder times are simply guidelines. Focusing to heavily on them won’t help you grow better. It’s much better to focus on how the plant is actually growing and pay attention to the signs the plant gives you.

Bang on Thundercat. I recently ran a trial with a new led light that a friend is bringing into North America. I’ve had a Jack Herer plant going on 4 years now. Been using T5 HO before and the finish time was upwards of 8-10 weeks depending on trichs.

With this new led I was quite shocked to see amber trichs starting around week 5. I chopped at 7 weeks and 1 days. Early for sure as per previous grows. The Jack from this grow is probably the highest quality weed I have grown. Lots of such feedback from friends.

So saying it will be done in X weeks can be thrown out the window. It is after all just a guide line.

Personally never counted from flip; and never considered breeders time frames for flower; you can run five Pineapple Express side by side and they will all finish at different times....counting from flip is the reason many on experienced growers end up with shit quality bud.....As soon as I see pistols at every bud point that’s where I count from....then I consider the breeders guide and ALWAYS; I MEAN ALWAYS FLUSH YOUR PLANTS!!! Someone said up here earlier they don’t flush ? Then you will see the ash of the dope they smoked is black instead of grey; reason being they are smoking the fertilizer they neglected to remove from the medium.

I don’t flush and my joints burn clean white gray, so sorry, but you’re not speaking from experience and just repeating something often stated.
