Hey all,

I've heard of people having some good success growing in the following manner:

• Use Promix HP as a starting mix
• For one-gallon pots, mix in Gaia Green All-Purpose Fertilizer 4-4-4 for veg as per the package directions
• Top with same every few weeks
• When transplanting to final pot, mix in Gaia Green Power Bloom 2-8-4 as per package directions
• Top with same every few weeks
• Just water with filtered tap water

Is this a viable way to grow? It seems about as simple as it gets, and I've seen some impressive pics on Instagram. What do y'all think?

This alone makes me want to move to Canada. That stuff is hard to find in the US. I like the idea, can’t wait to see others reply.

Yeah, along with the fact that you can grow four monstrously large plants in your backyard at any time, no questions asked, in most provinces.

Gaia Green is really good, but you guys have easier access to Agricola's fertilizer, which my gut tells me is even better. Search agricola in the forum and you'll see some impressive pics!

Buy a ph pen and and check runoff on a sample of your mix before committing a full batch

No not really promix hp have plenty of lime to buffer your ph for 6 month then it need lime if you reuse your old promix .

Have used Agricola, recently top dressing, (supersoil ran out, leaves began to fade). Had good results, that and Dr Earth bud and bloom

I ordered some Agricola a while ago but it's stuck at the border because of restrictions on cross-border shipments. Can't wait to get it in and try it out, but unfortunately it may have to wait until my next grow.

ive used Dr earth + FFOF which is similar. It CAN be that easy, However Im not a fan of doing the bare minimum so i always add things to my soil mix, or after via top dressing/teas. Worm castings are one of my most abundantly used amendments because you can basically never use too much and its like a super food for so many plants. Alfalfa and kelp meals also never get excluded, alfalfa meal has high concentrations of beneficial vitamins but also a hormone that is associated with plants producing more nodes, not sure how true that is in cannabis but i wouldnt doubt it.

Seems like they would run out of juice pretty fast in 1 gallon. 3 would be better imo.
