Bulkheads and square buckets is king. But uniseals, although talked down on, are specifically made for curved surfaces and if installed correctly, won't leak. Mine never have.
can i use these buckets?

i want to build a 4 bucket system, what type of water and air pump should i get? that won't break the bank

mm 5 of those? i am able to 5 gallon round buckets but they are white....
taking to this bakery they have 5 gallon square buckets but they are white also

i would use 2 of those blk/yellow totes (27 gallons), 2 plants in each one and then one more outside your room as a control tote.
you will appreciate the more volume of water vs 5 gal buckets. makes pH more stable and less res changes.
that is if you can get them there. walmarts, home depot all have them here
but the square bakery buckets will work fine too. all depends what you can get your hands on.
in this would be piped same way as a 4 bucket system? and what size pot nets?

yes, i built this exact thing years ago. (not using it anymore) i ran the drains in the bottom center of each tote, put them all up on cinder blocks to get some space underneath for the piping. i used just regular 5" net pots.

yes, i love the waterfarms. i modified them a bit and i run them drain to waste. feed once a day. don't have to ever worry about pH or EC/ppm. and i am able to leave town for 2 weeks without any issues.
you should think about trying 4 hempy buckets to give you a taste of hydro. 5 gal bucket, perlite, vermiculite is all you need. results of hydro with the ease of soil.
I really liked this setup but don't know if it's worth the shot kinda confused here
i have a 4x4 tent so it needs to be a 4 buckets system

i think my qb caused this issue
i was running 3x 240w 288 qb's at 14" height full blast
i now raised them to 24" and at 60%
i do not know the correct for vegging with these lights nor if i need to use all 3 for veg
everyone is telling me more lite the better dunno anymore
