Tell us about the room the tent is in then. There is no way I can keep it 100% pitch black.
Yep, but thankfully this is a hobby that actually pays for itself. Even if not selling, one isn't buying either if they're growing.Kind of a moot point, expenses are expenses and they add up regardless of selling or personal use.
Blacked out window, the room light is off. The only thing that is on is the tv that is on the other side of the tent.Tell us about the room the tent is in then.
If you turn off the lights in the room, is it dark inside of the tent?
Can you turn off the lights in the room the tent is in? If so, what light are you worried about?
What hours do you have the lights-off period? Could you adjust those hours so that the dark period is occurring while the TV and light are off? Note that the light-leaks are only relevant when you're in flower.Blacked out window, the room light is off. The only thing that is on is the tv that is in the other side of the tent.
The vent is on the side of the tent facing away from the tv.
Sorry it is hard following everything . I've done my best to block the area around the vent to keep as much potential light out as possible .
I dont sell. It's all personalIf you're not growing enough cannabis if you sold it to cover the cost of the medium (plus all other expenses including your time), something is wrong
Although I don't sell, I do stock it in case I do have to barter one day (with a pandemic occurring, that wasn't a bad call!), but that's how I look at each growing-related expense... will my next grow or two cover this cost adequately, if I were to sell the crop.
Besides, I said I do re-use my soil, I just re-use it outdoors.
A good friend of mine has offered to gift me growing supplies in exchange for some of my home grown. I’ve been tempted to see if he would want to gift me a new HLG setup for way more value in return. The thing that sucks about the laws is I’m pretty sure that could still be considered illegal if there was any way for it to be proved it was a “transaction” rather than two good friends l, legally gifting something to one another, that actually helps both of them save money. If you're not growing enough cannabis if you sold it to cover the cost of the medium (plus all other expenses including your time), something is wrong

Ya, but instead of spending all that money on more soil, I can use it to buy more gear.Yep, but thankfully this is a hobby that actually pays for itself. Even if not selling, one isn't buying either if they're growing.
Either way, I agree re-using soil is a smart thing to do. I just do it differently than others.
Where do you live? If in Canada, you can gift up to an ounce at a time to someone (so long as they are legal age). Someone giving you something on a different date doesn't have to be part of a transaction at all.A good friend of mine has offered to gift me growing supplies in exchange for some of my home grown. You’re fine, man. I have a window literally 6” from my tent and it gets full sunlight through it during the day. I’m not even joking.Blacked out window, the room light is off. The only thing that is on is the tv that is on the other side of the tent.

If he's a good friend I wouldn't worry, but yes, that is illegal. Receiving goods or services in exchange for weed. It doesn't really matter if it's cash or goods, same thing to them. Same if I hook someone up for painting my house, lol.A good friend of mine has offered to gift me growing supplies in exchange for some of my home grown. Understood. I'm not against re-using soil, I just don't re-use it indoors. It costs me ~$35 for three months worth of soil.Ya, but instead of spending all that money on more soil, I can use it to buy more gear.
I honestly think the plant genetics helped herm it .You’re fine, man. I have a window literally 6” from my tent and it gets full sunlight through it during the day. I’m not even joking.
I have the 6 " 400+ cfm fan I have hooked to a speed controller turned all the way down and it pulls the sides in on the 4 x 4 just the right amount with three bottom vents open. And it's really quiet. Much quieter than a 4" I was using that had to be on full blast. It's better to have a bigger fan that you can turn down than one that has to run full power to do it's job. That's what exhaust fan variable speed switches are used for. Spin down the speed of the fan to the point you have slight negative airflow in the tent without the tent trying to suck in the surrounding carpet and curtains
I’m in MA. We can gift an ounce per person, too. The chances of getting in trouble are probably extremely slim. I was just saying that if It could be proven that there was a prior agreement to gift cannabis for electronics that it would probably violate the law. Just paranoia talkingWhere do you live? It could well be genetics. Your humidity is fine (especially for flower), and so are temps. I prefer something closer to 78F during lights on, and 82F would be my absolute maximum, but you are in range.I honestly think the plant genetics helped herm it .
I've done everything in my power to regulate humidity and heat. During the day, the heat never exceeds 81f and never goes below 68f at night.
Humidity is currently at 45% and generally stays there, it goes down when the plants need to be watered
Yeah, that’s what I thought. When it was legalized here a bunch of dumbasses got busted for selling $300 ziplock bags, with a “Free Zip!” on Craigslist. They literally openly advertised it!If he's a good friend I wouldn't worry, but yes, that is illegal. Receiving goods or services in exchange for weed. What I hear you say is that you've got a friend who is throwing a light he doesn't use away, so you asked if you could have it. He offered to come over as he does often for a few beers, and set it up for you.I’m in MA. We can gift an ounce per person, too. The chances of getting in trouble are probably extremely slim.
