Does anybody know where to get reliable carbon filters/fans? in the market for one right now but dont wanna spend some money and have it show up broken or break quickly.

Phat makes the best filters IMO. I prefer Vortex blowers, VTX series, they move a ton of air but can be loud. If you don't have to fight a lot of static pressure (ducting) then the AC Infinity mixed flow fan would work. I tend to go for the Vortex, oversize them and run them on a variac.

I only buy my carbon filters from a grow store now as the first one which I bought online, I got to week 6 of flower on my first grow and came home from work, opened my front door and got hit by the sweet smell of ganja! If I lived in a liberal country where it was legal I wouldn't of given a shit but for me stealth is paramount so I bought my next filter from a grow shop and it's been going 3 years now without the tiniest smell leak.

I would go with a Can max fan pro and Can or Mountain Air filter.

Most Grow shops carry these brands so just call around to some local stores.
Read good things about the mountain air and its longetivity, you used one and if so do they last as long as they claim as was thinking of buying one when my current one is done

Just realised I didnt actually answer your question lol, I use a 6inch system air fan and a 6inch Prima Klima Pro filter in my 4x2 tent which runs on the lowest speed, IMO it's better to get a fan and filter combo rated more then you need and get a speed controller to run it soft, you will be thankfull in the summer months when you can turn the speed up to get temps down. I'm in the UK though so you might not get these brands

Also depends on lighting being used, intake air temp, duct run lengths and bends in ducting.
Each of these above require more %’s to be added to your fan requirements.

Personally I like SYSTEMAIR RVK fans and RHINOPRO filters.

you’d be looking at approx £180-£220/$240-300 for the filter and fan and ducting.
No argument from me there, I only use rhino pro and have never personally had a poor one. I used to love Rucks but RKV is the same thing, though I do use box fans now because I hate noise.

Over here in Europe a lot of people have stopped using the Rhino Pro.

From what I hear the quality has dropped significantly and people are having problems with smell even on the first grow.

Yep that's what I happened to me but I bought online and think there are alot of knock offs so I wont slate the genuine Rhino Pro's, that's why I go to the grow store now.
