No Mother Perpetual

This is my plan and can anyone tell me if it will work.
I want to keep a perpetual harvest but no mother plant to take clones from.
Instead I want to take clones from the plants about to transition into flowering.
Therefore I would be taking clones from clones of the original seedling.
So any opinions on the topic?

I've read a guys grow where he had 10 different strains going because he did what you are saying. Didn't need 10 mothers, just kept the clones going.

I keep reading everywhere else you want the plants to start and finish about the same size. So growing different would influence their height and shape. But it's not like you couldn't do it.

I've cloned some very small clippings that just take awhile to really start going. But they work (of cannabis and a few other plants). The only thing i would be worried about is if the clippings arn't big enough from start, they might not develope enough if you flower right after roots set in. You might just have to veg a little longer.

I was originally concidering doing that, but if you just have one mother plant sitting under 24/7 light, she can produce a lot of clones, and a lot of very well developed clones. After i saw pictures of what a mother plant can do for cloning, i decided it would be worth it.

Also i plan to veg for 28 days
and hopefully finish flower in 8 weeks
so it doesn't throw off my process
then a good dry and cure and they're ready to smoke

height- I don't care
yield- i don't care
no mothers = less hassle as i see it, only have to trim the females before they go into flower. I was going to semi lollipop anyway, why not clone them. and since i already have clones from plant trimmings, whats the need for mothers?
I'm starting to grow as a hobby b/c it is very interesting and looks fun
( I can have fun doing anything(no homo) I'm just that type of person)
If i do good growing then whatever happens happens

One disadvantage to your plan is that if you ever are unfortunate enough to lose a crop you don't have a backup. That might not be an issue with a small grow. Make sure you wait for your clones to root and confirm their healthy prognosis before you flip the rest into flower.

please tell me you are going to post pictures of this. I've yet to see a SOG lollipopped. When i get my SOG running i'm going to trim half for lollipop and leave the other half for singe top cola. Whichever works best i'm gonna continue doing.
