What does everybody do to get strong roots?

The guy at my local hydro shop recommended this stuff

Has anybody used or even heard of it? He said it's powerful and he looked like a wise old asian man, so I didn't argue.

I'm just concerned about getting nutrient burn. It's rated 5-15-5 and the directions said 60ml per gallon which seems like a lot!

A balanced diet brings huge roots and thus ultimately a huge harvest. GL.

Myco works great as a soil amendment, though it doesn't do any good to water it in.
