I wouldn't consider your lights "gold" or "deeply buried". All I see on Reddit and grow forums is blatant advertisements for your lights by people trying to win free lights from you guys. It's sad, really...If your lights actually are any good then you are doing a great job at making them seem like garbage to anyone who understands that your "contests" are just a way for you to receive a ton of free advertising from people who are trying to win equipment.

if you check the youtube you can find out that lots of growers share their grow journal about mars hydro with their plants,the pictures is true,the grow result is true,the item is true,We already do the led and grow tent over 11years,And we never stop to improve ourselves,we do appreciate our customers’ accompany. RIU is new for us,if my way is not the suitable way to express our thanksgiving,please advise some suitable activity which are good for both of us,thanks.

I don't speak for RIU I speak as a consumer who has been burned by companies like yours before. The only reason there are so many posts and reviews of your product is because you push your customers to do them with contests like this. The mods over at r/microgrowery also mentioned in the past that you guys were sending free lights to people to shill your lights over there, too.

Have suggested to MH on another forum, but since you ask.

Work out what you are giving away and together with Rollitup admin; just pick a member or members for the goodies.

Your signature says you are a sponsor right, so sponsor a 'Member of Month' compeition for prize(s) or most helpful members or an otherwise deserving members.
Alternatively go the other way and get us to comment on a thread and random nbr it!

Dont use likes - this pits members against eachother cause bad feeling
Dont use social media - not all like or have it (i dont do fb/tw/ig or others - This forum is where i start and stop being 'social', & especially if i 'DID post' MH on any public facing platform, police could even be prompted to arrrested me!)
Dont look for years of grow experience or life stories - lots of people here dont have it so are excluded before the chance is even there.

I would say the 'Winners' should be a selection of who in 'this site' is contributing and deserving OR 100% chance.

Oh and lastly: please, Please PLEASE stop giving us money off vouchers. ##% off voucher is a joke unless 70+% off - Yes! Im very serious, a voucher is a slap in the face to someone who wants but cant afford.

But those are just my humble opinions.

What you are doing isn't "sharing good items with growers" or "giving free products to new growers". What you are doing is paying people with equipment to advertise your products on social media platforms. If you truly wanted to just get your product out to people to try then you wouldn't require them to flood social media with your hashtags in order to have the chance to receive a free light or tent.

I agree with you on this. It seems the market they're targeting is the brand new user. Which experienced growers are willing to watch a bunch of newbie Youtube vids promoting grow lighting systems? None.

If the goal is to get real, experienced growers to switch from their favourite lights to something new, giving them out to those people randomly without demanding all of this social media crap would be the way to go. These long-time growers will share their experiences via word of mouth (such as forums like this one) in a way that isn't an off-putting marketing bullshit kind of way.

Convert some of the experienced growers, instead of getting clueless newbies to buy. The clueless newbie is most likely going to give up during their first grow and the lamps won't ever see the light of day again anyhow.

I run HLG and mars hydro lights and for a hundred bucks plug and play ts1000 about 100 watts I say is a good deal and I’ve grown some nice plants with the ts1000. Mars not paying me shit. They ain’t bad lights.

I think you guys should promote someone to do an HLG vs Spider farmer vs Mars comparison showdown. That is something that would be better advertising in my opinion.
It would show yield versus cost investment and time, and possibly even have the nugs tested too for potency.

Don't think anyone is questioning their equipments quality: on the whole they have a very positive reputation.
I've done a lot of research on MH units and they stack up well. For premium 'budget' lights.
But its the sheer mindfuck they employ with their public facing communications.
Its always very polite, if a little (I guess culturally) obtuse in their phraseology but the way they handle people sometime is awful.
Have spoken to a few people in last 24 hours trying to buy MH kit and the contacts have disappeared and website fell over at same time - guys were stumped and with no replies via forums or direct email.
Just a poor show.

agreed it can be tough to do a showdown, but alot of people ask which light they should buy for the $. It would be cool to see equal wattage on same plants and what day, to help decide

It would also be nice to have a light output analysis before and after the grow, to see how much efficiency they lose

Maybe they're busy with their 420 sales? I would imagine there are a ton of people looking to get into LEDs on the cheap right now.

They seemed to go quiet shortly after I asked them if they are an actual Mars Hydro rep or just an eBay and aliexpress seller. they went form multiple posts a day to no posts in 2 days.
