Back to the subject... Yes, I beleive that there is motive behind the attacks in Syria. That motive is to start some military shit, scare the hell out of the un-decided voters and steal another election for the Repukeicans... but I could be wrong.

Starting to spread the ACORN talking bull shit ... your hypocrisy knows no bounds ...

While the Republicans had the distracted media searching for links between Obama and ACORN, RNC operatives were busily completing one of the most massive voter suppression and purging efforts in American history, stealing hundreds of thousands of Democratic votes across the embattled swing states and striving to arrange chaos and endless lines at the voting booths next week.

So keep blowing that ACORN bullshit out your ass ... that's all you got ...

... and if McSame is so great ... why is the RNC doing this Vi ... if you repukes can win in a so called fair election why do they have to do this? Explain that one Vi ...:roll:

GW ...

I thought you knew; reading the Huffington Post will rot your brain.

From the Huffington Post article:

Contrary to Mr. McCain's assertions, the real threat to democracy is from the GOP itself. ACORN has served as a good distraction from Republican efforts to steal the vote from hundreds of thousands of legitimate voters, a genuine threat that has received almost no media attention.

Now, don't you think that if its true that hundreds of thousands of democrat voter registrations are being "purged" by the Republican Party, that the Main Stream Media would be all over it like a cheap suit? Is Olbermann talking about it? How about Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid? Why are they staying silent on the issue?

It just seems petty to me, maybe the bush administwation was just fwowin its pacifaya out weh pwam. I dunno, just seems like America could do without having shit started with Syria by the people leaving office. That said, they always wanted to do it, better now than earlier. cheney would be lovin' it. 'go georgee do it it'll inuslt 'em, they'll fucken hate it geeorgeee dooooo it, it's God's will.Don't have to tell w that it's God's will twice.

Whoever gets in the White house will be sending a message to the region, the Syrians will certainly be interested what the next President has to say about it. It would seem like a great opportunity to stress new and perhaps more optimistic relations with Syria, nothing drastic; nothing too risky about trying to be nice first day on the job.

Just some days now folks.

The HP is not my regular reading ... but JFK Jr. is ...
... and why the hell would corporate media report it? ... they won't report the election fraud that took place in the past ... not a theory ... fact ... why would they report what's happening now? It would show their involvement in the fraud ... you really think they are going to do that?

... and local corporate news is reporting it ... I posted it ... but you didn't bother the check it out ...

WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!! Do your research first.

BBC NEWS | Middle East | Fury sweeps Syria after US raid

Don't get me wrong I love America and will fight til the day I die for liberty, justice and the Constitution. However, once you get a crazed lunatic like bush in there to carry out false missions to spark a reaction then you get the spoon fed news. Syria is a big op such as s. ossetia. Shit's going down and all you can do is say good job special ops? Mistakes are made in the heat of battle. Intel is wrong, coordinates get fucked up. C'mon, you really think al qaeda was there? We're the most powerful military in the world and we can't find guys in sheets. Get real people. Oh, but they can trace these threads back to your house and you'll get busted. Good god, have we really come to this?

Well that is the nature of Politics and people in general, no?

People tend to over analyze, especially with an election coming nigh.

But let's clear up a few misconceptions.
1.) The war in Iraq was legal and justified (hindsight is 20/20, character isn't). Congress looked at the evidence and made a decision. It is always difficult to gather "correct" intelligence since the "other" side does not wish to give it (surprised?). President Clinton hamstrung the CIA and NSA during his administration much to the glee of Liberals. Then when Bush takes office, just a few months later, he is handed faulty data as well as Congress. They all looked at the evidence (correct or not) and went with war. Bush didn't gather that evidence under his watch, Clinton did. I find it incredible to see people blaming Bush for something not of his creation. He inherited that mess. Were mistakes made? Damn right there were. It's war. War is messy and sh*t happens. Even Saddam Hussein admitted that he suspended his WMD's but planned on getting right back to it when the pressure was off. Saddam simply made a miscalculation and concluded that Bush would be a weak president like Clinton. This was a BIG mistake.
2.) If Clinton had any balls whatsoever(not the ones resting on Monica's chin), that war should have kicked off during his administration. He didn't. He should have, but he didn't. He rode a tech bubble not of his making into the ground right along side of our national security by inaction and indecision. In the presidency, you can be popular or you can have principles, you can't have both. Clinton chose to be popular.
2.) Syria has been actively sending suicide bombers to kill our men for five years and using their airport as terrorist central. When you sit on the border of another country in wartime and try to destabilize said country, you should expect repercussions. They were asked over and over to cease and desist by the Bush administration to no avail. Did Bush wait too long for my taste? U bet he did, but better late than never! You don't answer aggression with appeasement.
3.) By smacking Syria down Bush has done WHOEVER wins the White House a HUGE favor! I guarantee you Obama wiped his brow with gratitude. McCain less so.

To recap, you don't get peace through appeasement. You don't quit a war once it begins (unless you are Italy or a Democrat) if you want to have ANY credibility later on.
I perceive Obama to be a feckless man. The only thing holding him up is his suit and the media. His policies economic and foreign make NO sense.

Ask yourself this, if Obama was a white guy, would he be in the running with those credentials? Honestly? Racism runs both ways.

So yes Gordon, I don't agree with everything anyone else says, but that is the nature of our open election process.

Can I smoke a bowl now? whew!

out.

IMHO, I think what needs to be done is... Bring all troops home, defend our borders, concentrate on "OUR" country - nobody else's. As long as we are in some other country's pocket we will always have a stake to pay. Want energy? Stop fucking with the middle east put that 15B a months towards new energy initiatives. Employ only Americans and put the troops at the borders. Get rid of these fucked up government programs that have idiot's that sit on the board with no qualifications. Ehhhemmm -- Palin. Concentrate on the youth and elderly and focus on our people. I've fought in too many countries to name and the whole time thinking..."I know these are orders and all but we haven't even given healthcare to the first responders of 9/11" Selfish? Maybe, but that is what America was built on. Guarding ones self. Until the fucks of the 1920's made everything private special interests. This country has gone to shit. If you think America is what she was you're out of your fucking mind. Have you called Dell or Gateway? Have you talked to the guys, sorry, Men who worked in all the factories being shut down. These were true Americans who wanted the American dream and now because we put our goddamn nose in every other country and try to show them what democracy is we've completely fucked ourselves. Hmmmm, wonder why dollar bills before 1933 could be exchanged for gold - with that printed on the bill - now it is just legal tender? COME ON PEOPLE WAKE UP. How bout' if you're so proud of America and where she is going, give me $5000.00 and I'll give you legal tender in exchange. Cool. Can't beat that. Go research what happened with China in receiving euros instead of dollars because the dollar is obsolete. Look at the interview with Bernanke telling the UAE to drop the dollar....months ago! Figure out why your grandmother can't retire let alone get proper healthcare. And you're concerned with trying to make things right in another country? Oh... Haliburton, that's right. How could I forget, Enron -- yep that was another good one for the Americans, yet every other country in where the money was originating from got off scott free. Did I mention that when you YES YOU, go to work every day you're paying for some rich fuck to have his toes manicured, pay a salary to his hoe or his boy toy, and pay for a nice piece of steel sitting in his driveway. Yep, that's fair to me. This 750B package that WE are paying for just payed out 3 million pounds to Goldman Sachs that was distributed to the top officers. Thanks Hank, glad you took over our budget and handed it to a guy named KashKari oh excuse Cash and Carry. Fuck guys wake up the shit is right in front of you. You can say I'm crazy but I dare you to prove me wrong. I challenge anyone to prove me wrong. You show me your proof I'll show you mine. But I suggest if you take me up on this challenge we do it now as web 2.0 will be coming out soon that is a major filter on what you will be able to find. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

If we want to bring this country back to what she was. The beautiful Land of the Free and Home of the Brave - not the Land of the Stupid and Home of the Slaves, we've got to concentrate on America. Not Iraq, not Iran, not China, not Russia (obama and mccain said in their speeches "All Americans are Georgians" motherfucker, I don't know not one person in Georgia, Atlanta maybe) This is the shit I'm talking about. Why are we so concerned about Georgia? Well people, pull up blueprints of oil supply pipelines and see which country controls each one. Find Georgia yet? Okay, that's why. Now my question is, instead of committing war crimes (which we do and don't say any different cause there would be no validity to that statement) why can't we say, "We're Americans, we can provide for ourselves if we just have the funding to incorporate programs and facilities to do such. Let's not depend on anybody else and have Americans build America." I also don't understand why we've joined forces with canada and mexico. And please if anybody doesn't know about the Security and Prosperity Partnership, get the fuck off this forum and do research before you come back and post your dumbed down american opinion. We see enough of those people at mccains campaigns. j/k sorry just thought that would be funny.
Listen, I'm not trying to be a know it all. I've just served this country and given my blood for freedom. I've lost brothers in battle and some on the first day they hit the battlefield. I'm tired of all the bullshit. I'm tired of free trade (for now), I'm tired of seeing houses in my neighborhood get foreclosed on when innocent families can't afford it anymore, I'm tired of seeing elderly people die DIE, because we have a fucked up healthcare system, I'm tired of being taken advantage of, I'm tired of seeing my aunt and uncle, grandmother, grandfather still have to work 40-60 hour weeks to make end's meat, I'm tired of seeing disabled people not even earn enough to keep a crack fiend satisfied, I'm just fuckin tired. We the people have to make the change, not give all our hopes, desires dreams and wishes to a select few people who don't even know how to spell potato. C'mon WHO'S WITH ME ON THIS? Isn't it getting like a reality show with this election, is it that hard to get over racism? I don't understand racists, I really don't, if there's any on here, I'm calling you out as a man, state your opinions and why you think one race is inferior. And then ask yourself, can you build a country with people who hate each other? We need to ban together. Violence is not the answer...people just get killed. This has to be done at state levels and then on up. I know my father and grandfather and great grandfather fought for this country. How dare anyone slap them in the face.

It's called Isolationism. It's been tried.

The only reason that Europe doesn't speak Russian at this very moment is because we are there. They ( EU) have already admitted that they don't have a budget with which to defend themselves. Shall we leave our allies twisting in the Soviet wind?
The United States is the greatest achievement in the socio-political arena ever (but of course imperfect).
However, we are not and cannot maintain independence from others. We are all interdependent upon each other. Do you have any idea how much foreign capital runs through these borders?
Do we have things which need fixing .. you bet. But please don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. It is the free market system which can most efficiently cure what ails us.

You want to do something meaningful in helping us root out bad politicians. Start with some drug tests on those mofo's. That one really bugs me. we have to but the people who GOVERN us make themselves exempt.
Start with real accountability on BOTH sides of the aisle. Heck, let's get a third aisle in there.

But receding within ourselves, no matter how tempting, and donning on a Socialist regime will only end in tears, and poverty for the very people who we intended to help. Noble intentions don't feed a child.

I'm finished.

Yes, and the exact opposite of isolationism has been tried, and where has it gotten us?

We have soldiers stationed in 100+ nations. We have more enemies than friends we can really trust, and ironically we can work better with our enemies than with our friends.

The United States needs to focus on the United States. We shouldn't be busy trying to dictate what other nations must be, or not be, or do, or should do. The idea of the United States was that we would lead by example, not lead by military fiat.

We are right because we are mighty is the argument of imbeciles and bullies. We are mighty because we are right! The founding principles of our nation was that the individual is sancrosanct and above the control of the state. We still call our public masters by what they were intended to be, public servants.

There is no reason why they should be making more than the average American, and have better benefits. It seems to me that the United States has jumped on the horse, and ridden off into the wastelands to leave the cart to be stolen by the politicians and filled with rocks by people that care more about themselves than about this nation.

I do have to admit however, that you are right in the need to bring our public servants to task, and force them to be accountable to the will of the citizenry instead of to the lobbyists.

I just want to say again that I love America. Actually, I should say I love what America 'was' built on. I don't like where we've gone. It still amazes me that people get up go to work, come home, watch the brainwashing machine, eat and go to bed. Next day... the same thing. We work to pay off the debt of the money that doesn't even exist. And people... normal people don't realize this. If I am the main source of all money that is exchanged, meaning I supply all the money that is in circulation and then put a tax upon that money that was loaned out, how the hell is anybody I loaned money to ever gonna pay me back? It's impossible. This is exactly what our forefathers were fighting against coming over here from Britian. Andrew Jackson fought the central banking system and tried to implement the greenback which was overturned by who? The private banks. This frustrates me to no end. It's nonsense. The more money our country applies for (cause we have absolutely none) the more debt is attached. Put that on the American people and over a 15 year period the money supply will run out and people will be so far in debt that the next step is sleeping in the car. Is that humane? I don't think that this is what every true American wants. We are an emergent nation of wonderful and beautiful people of all races, creeds, and nationalities. We deserve better and it's time for us to fight back. No, not violently, that solves nothing. It has be done strategically by 'the people' not supporting the private banks that run this country.

Anyhow, I can go on all night about this. I just hope that people on here recognize the truth and do the research. There is a joy in discovering correct information yourself.

I agree with that statement. The "free market" has been corrupted by big Govt. We need to back off and let the "free market" correct our problems.
