Any Ideas? Looking to build a room

How do you intend to grow the plants? I ask because you want to size the veg area accordingly.

One way to go might be using the area thats to the left of the stairs in the drawing as veg and the area to the right as flower.

Having the stairs enter the veg room since it's not as sensitive to light intrusion. Do the stairs go up or down from that floor? Is it possible to use the area under the stairs for equipment like dehumidifier, drums to mix nutes and whatnot?

How many amps of power do you have coming into the house? What do the ceilings look like? do you have vents and things running across any of them? What is your budget and what do you plan on doing? just trying to grow as many plants as possible?

I have 200 amps total, but will be living here as well so was thinking about leaving 50 amps for the up stairs and 150 amps for the basement, I’m looking to invest a nice amount into this( don’t know if I want to buy to expensive of lights as well that will drain my pockets $1000 seems alittle high but got enough for what is needed) the ceiling is completely open with vents running left to right about 5 feet from the egress window, looking to grow 36 in flower total- 18 in each room, planned on vegging plants 6 weeks out the cloner

Also looking for light recommendations was thinking either the tsl growers choice e-680 or the phantom 1000w DE I know both are completely different but what would help me capitalize the most I was thinking the flower rooms run from top to bottom and have 2 rows of 9 in each flower room

You might take a look at my grow journal to see if you get any ideas from my setup. I only have 150 amp main for the whole house and I run a 1300 sqft basement with 2 flowering rooms and a veg room.

Why are you running 2 flower rooms? Im not against it, but thats just another A/c you need to buy. @Renfro
@Mshamma1 you wont be able to run DE's in a basement. they are just too hot and even 8 foot ceilings are just not quite tall enough. I am building my basement out as well from scratch. By my estimation it will cost me around 30-40k to setup the veg/flower rooms with 16 lights

My reason was power. I couldn't run all of it at once so by putting my flower on a flip it made it possible.

If you think 30 - 40k then figure on 40 - 50k when it's all said and done. All the little shit adds up, at least if you do it right.

I run DE's in my basement and I grow some big plants, pull good weight, so I think it can be done.

I have seen many people run the 1000W DE's in basements but never on 1000W. if you are pulling it off, props to you man! those gavita DE's are the brightest things ive ever seen.

It is legal here and I keep my plant count in order so the high electric bill isn't an issue for me. I do control my odor well so as not to be a nuisance to the neighbors.

For me the key was maximizing the production with a limited plant count. When I first started I was allowed a 24 count medical, 12 could be in flower. More plants is easier of course. Plan and build your grow to do what you need it to do.

I run them on 1000. I even crank them to 1200 during the stretch but back to 1000 when they are taller and start flowering. Side lighting is key for me since I grow trees. A good trellis rig is your friend. You should checkout my journal linked in my signature. You might be impressed. Runs in the 45 - 55 pound range are common in my setup and I think 60 is possible with the right strain and perfect timing.

how are you able to crop so much out of that many plants? But I’ve heard of people using plenty of 630 cmh to pull massive weight what is most ideal for the best yield? Have about 50-60k to invest if needed

Hes got a great environment, experience and good genetics.

If you read through my journal you will have a better understanding of how I get those yields with those plant numbers.

At least 2 pounds per 1kW.
So do you think the lights on the sides ate allowing more growth vs having them all across the top? And what type of training are you doing?
