Plant leaning a touch. Normal or nah?

Hey everyone I’m back with my first grow ever.

ibhave just started week 2 and the leaves seem to be progressing well. However, the plant has a lean as depicted in the picture.

1. Is this normal?
2. What if anything, can I do to correct it?

Additional info:
gorilla glue auto
400w lights @ 18 inches from plant
Temp 25
Humidity 45-55%
First watering about 8 oz circled around the plant til the soil dries out.
No nutes yet

They grow towards the light. It's probably fine. If you watch timelapse videos of seedlings growing sometimes you'll see them grow upwards with the top almost circling (leans left, leans forward, leans right, leans backwards).

A slight breeze will promote strong stem growth. At this stage it should be very light. Don't blow it over lol.

This is very normal but it might indicate a beginning of a stretching plant. Just support you plant by sticking a small plastic rod in the soil near your plant and very very gently loosely tie the plant to it to make the plant stand upright again.

If tomorrow you notice the plant continues stretching and is not able to support its own weight and starts leaning more, then maybe it's time to lower your lights a little. From the color of your lights, I presume you're using grow LEDs. LEDs run much cooler than HIDs and can be lowered more than 18" to the plant canopy (the top part of the plant).

I used to put my LEDs around 12" to the seedlings without any ill effects. I did this because I wanted to control the height of the plant from a very early stage as I didn't have much vertical grow space.

On the technical side, 18" from 12" at first might not seem that much of a difference but this change in height can actually nearly double the light intensity due to something called the inverse square law of light. Also plants seize to stretch when enough blue light is provided and that's why Metal Hallide HID lamps with their abundance of blue light spectrum can keep the plants short and stubby. In the complete absence of blue light, plants stretch like crazy. Grow LEDs by design are advertised as being able to work through veg and flowering which is actually a compromise as most grow LEDs have far more red than blue and that's why their color appear magenta to the human eye. The good thing about LEDs though is that they run much cooler than HIDs and can be lowered much closer to the plants providing them with the more of the blue spectrum which they need during veg.

Happy grow!

angle the seedling so it's leaning away from the light and watch it grow towards the light. then turn it around again. keep repeating this method until they get strong enough to support them selves. if it does manage to fall over then you want to prop it up with a tooth pick.

Defo best to lean the pot over a touch to correct it... speeds up growth as the plant doesnt have to correct itself.
