It looks healthy Tj, those funny leaves are called cotyledons, or something close. starter leaves.

600 watts is a lot for a seedling, hps?

Lol guess my lamp is to powerful at its stage but I don’t have anything else
I put my seedlings under 400W MH at 18-24" and have never had an issue. Your plant looks like it's doing fine. If you find things going sideways, dim or raise the lamp. You might want to dim right away, just to be safe (I have no experience with seedlings under 600W).

When I did one plant under a 600 16-18 inches is fine on Mh but HPS if I don’t raise it to 20” or more I’m burning the plant up.
You can leave that light. Just raise it as high as you can. Mine is probably close to 48” for my seedlings. Watch the leaves for some curling and you will know you’re too close.

I held my hand under it just above plant wasn’t uncomfortable also have a fan blowing over the plant

I get it. I’ve been there I’ve done that. People told me the same thing and I said the same thing. Just watch for signs of too much light. When you notice them raise it up until it goes away.
