Too much N?

Hey guys, in reading through other people's posts on here, I realize I may have a problem. Growing good, but my petioles are way red/purple. Leaves are pretty dark so maybe high N is locking out Mg? I am using coco/perlite mix in a hempy bucket, fed daily with 1 tsp maxibloom. Ph to 5.8. Good runoff every feed. Under a qb260. I wasn't really worried about it until I read the "urgent help needed" mess last night and it got me thinking. Any recommendations are welcome.

It could just be the pheno. Those plants look pretty happy to me and the leaves don't look like they are clawing from N toxicity to me.

I agree with Charlie. There are no signs of N tox at all, and the plants look good.

I am hoping it's just the genetics. Doesnt seem like it could be too much N since I'm using maxibloom, just want to be sure. Would it hurt anything to add cal-mag? I have that and epsom salts on hand

Appears you're on the right track with things. What makes you think you have a Nitrogen toxicity?

Likely strain related. The plants look great. What do you maintain for temperature?

I'll try adding 2ml/gal to my feed for a few days and see if anything changes. If not, I'm back to easy street

Never cause yourself concern based solely on a single thread on a forum. If I was you, I'd continue doing exactly what you've been doing.

I agree. I've seen a lot of purplish leaf petioles but I honestly don't start to worry about it unless branches and main stems start going all purple on me. If you saw the picture I posted in that thread of the King's Banner plant I have that looks like the stems were painted purple, then that is a cause for concern for sure. But those plants have been pretty neglected because I decided I'm not going to bother with planting them outside this year and am going with some autos. One is currently sitting by the window on my desk in my home office and will remain as my desk plant until she croaks
