hi i was considering growing in coca
does pot size matter like when growing in soil
should i feed with nutrients every feed if i water daily and how strong of a mix should i be using
is it true i should be watering daily and not letting the put fully dry out
how much differences in growth rates will there be over growing dwc
do you still have to flush the pre mixed coca and perlite mix you can buy in hydro stores. ive tried that compressed block stuff in the past and ill never use that again because of how much you need to flush it before using it and the mess

The rest you'll have to search the site. There's tons of coco growers that'll help you with more info

so pretty much if i buy something that is pest and disease free, thoroughly rinsed, pH stabilised, pre-buffered with calcium, and has a very low salts then i should not need to do anything apart from use it
the stuff i am looking at buying states all that so guess ill have to try and see

I run pure canna coco with no perlite, No need to buffer or rinse it.

once you have a established root zone you can start with multiple feeds a day if you want, but when the plants are young you still want to let it dry back to make those roots search for water.

normally during veg I’ll feed once a day until run off, early flower I’ll up it to a couple feeds a day until run off, mid flower 3-4 times a day until run off and finally Kate flower I knock back my feeds to 1/2 strength and feed once a day until harvest.

I mix and buffer ph in gal jugs for now. It’s a pain in the ass having 3-4 jugs but it’s the easy way for me to figure nute management.(plus I’m only in the solo cup part rn) Everyone probably has their own ways. I’m just a beginner grower myself! Will follow because I am using coco coir for my legit first grow as well! Good luck

You don't want any Coco product with nutrients in it.
Despite the names those both look alright, but probably expensive.
I pay $4 (US) for 20l of loose coco delivered, and another $4 for 20l or perlite delivered.

oh coca is expensive where i live if buying it in bags and not compressed blocks but i dont need to flush or put much effort in with that stuff at least when i checked the run off the ppm didnt change so must be clean enough to use.
now i need to learn how to water with it correctly. when i gave it the 1st water after potting up. it only tool 30 ish seconds to drain. i put 3 letters in and got about 1 and a half back so i feel maybe draining too quick or too much. maybe when it gets more roots ill retain more water/nutrients

i used to use a pump weed sprayer to water. it used to work good for reaching around in tight spaces and small grows

About a week after I started growing in coco I went out and bought a flood and drain tray and built a table with a condensate pump under it to get rid of all the runoff. It really is a lot of water to deal with. I also set up an automated top-drip watering system because it's just not possible to water 3x a day by hand at 4am and 6am every day. I also put a float valve on my res so I wouldn't have to carry buckets of water to fill it every day.

The smaller your containers, the more often you have to water. I think the flora flex system uses 6" or 8" square pots. You would have to water those 5+ times a day. I use 3gal pots and I water 3x per day.

I use 3 and 5 gal pots and water every day or two days around 250ppm, the plants still grow, and most of them are massive.
Although the 3 gals are fairly dry after 2 days.

i guess the bigger the plant the more often you can water

2.6 x .30 = .78 gallons........but in my opinion, and I grow in coco, 30% run off is way too much. I feed just to run off...it's been my experience, at least in my situation, that nothing more than very minimal runoff is needed and for inquiring minds, I've even experimented with almost no run off and still did well. There are a thousand ways to get that cat out of her skin. Good luck.

when it comes to feeding. can i only used cal mag and veg base nutrients then use cal mag and bloom nutrients r am i going to need more then just that ?
i feel 30% is abit much and just a way to make people spend more money but i don't mind wasting abit until i can dial in things

No you're fine. I feed Ca and Mg every day, every feed. Otherwise, yes, use the Veg base during your vegetative stage, along with the Calmag, and then switch to your bloom base, along with Calmag, when you switch to flower. Good luck
