I've heard it is possible to grow in a 16 oz cup 12/12 from seed...
Just expect to water it at least once a day after it starts growing good.

Mine were grown in coco, with nutrients in every watering which was at least once per day, usually twice per day.

Solo cups are great, I start all my seeds and clones in them. They are perfect for balcony growers who want to keep it stealth, also easier to take inside when theres bad weather like I have, the wind can get brutal being on the coast.
