Yellowing and dark leaves

New to here, been watching the site for a while though.

Going on my sixth week of growing. Im going on a 18/6 cycle. Using happy frog for both ladies in the tent, got my male in a closet using ocean forest just growing it for the hell of it. (First time grower)

I havent added any nutrients to either. Ph on all of them is about 7.5 and using RO water.

The last few days ive been noticing a slight stunt in growth, darkening of bottom leaves, some small tears in my little plant with red branches, and some clawing/yellowing at the tip of the leaves. Been reading it could be nutrients or it could be over watering. Any help would be appreciated.

Your ph should be 6.0-7.0 if you are using soil best would be 6.5 but your plant doesnt look that bad just fix ur ph. Also get rid of the male plant his polen can get pretty far

I’d say let it dry out a little adjust the ph to 6.5-7.0 and then on the watering following that dry out, add a very mild nutrient solution, I found personally when working with soils like those you mentioned, if adding chemicals, less is a lot more...then increase little by little.

Ok thanks! Will def let it dry out. Is watering until runoff best or more of a measured water? Was going to add some perlite on my next pot change to help with the watering.

Will definitely get the male out of there tonight.

Any suggestions on nutrients. I know the fox farms have their own in there just didnt know how much would be necessary with some being in there already and how much they lose with watering.

Best way to drop ph/prevent it from rising? Sorry for so many questions, just trying to learn and google gives you more questions than answers sometimes lol

You can buy ph downs also buy a hand ph meter its much better. But Im curious that why arent you train your plants?

The questions are fine, keep asking. I personally, use a soil mix and I don’t even ph my water anymore (well), I run the fox farm trio, I realllly only add when I notice a deficiency in Veg, and every other watering during flower, I use like 1/8-1/4 strength. Being that the soil mix alone could carry the plant through, I don’t NEED to add anything, I’ve gotten better yields with this method though.
Definitely add some perlite, it will give them some room to breath and better drying time.
