how uniform are the trich colors?

my plant did a lot of branching, so i dont really have a huge main cola, but rather, ~5-6 smaller ones for each of my 2 plants. if i were to check one of these colas under a microscope for the trichs, how safe is it to assume the rest of the colas trichs are at the same stage (on that plant)?

i was thinking i would check each cola for readiness, and then make the decision of which ones to cut based on that. i figure i would get all the buds off the plant in 2 or 3 cutting sessions. is this a good idea, considering stress will be caused after that first cutting?

also, are shears really necessary if i am only dealing with maybe 2 ounces total, or will just some regular old scissors get the job done?

Thanks for the input!

in my experience what you see on one will be close to whats on the others. may be a difference on newer growth or lower on the plant but if it all developed together it'll be close

True Dat! It MIGHT (and probably will) vary from plant to plant (different phenos), but I doubt it's enough to matter. Take a piece of leaf off a bud at both top and bottom, and split the difference.
