It’s a 6 inch inifty and it has a very hard time pulling through both lights man, it’s got a lot of ducting like 30ft altogether to get outside I bet..including the duct within the tent (probly 6-7ft my guess) This is my best pic of the set up rite here, before I flipped my lights to 12/12

Dude you just explained your whole ventilation and smell issue right there. I understand working with what you have and under the conditions you are in. However running ventilation through allllllllll that ducting is killing its functionality.

Well said. The longer the ducting and the more bends creates a lot more static pressure. I prefer the Vortex VTX fans since they can handle a bit more than some fans.

I have one 6" duct exhausting out of my attic that's probably about 20 feet long. Ever since I ran one of my exhausts outside, I don't need to run a dehumidifier anymore. I love the VTX.

Honestly man I don’t want anyone to give up growing, and so I’ve offered him advice a few times.

The things that need to stop are the posturing, bad attitudes, gangsta talk, and trying to act like a know it all.

Edit: that all being said this thread was never about him in the first place he just keeps trying to over run it. If he really wanted help he would start his own thread and act human.

Ya, I was ignoring most of what he said. I just don't like when people hijack someone else's thread and this guy has been outta line since the start. I really tried to stay out of it though, lol.

I have mad respect for you TC! You're one of my favorites man. I wouldn't be where I am now without all your help when I first started.

My next lesson to learn from you is how to make your qwiso. I will be trying that out as soon as I get motivated and when ISO is more readily available. It's not as easy to get at the moment.

Thank you! That was exactly the kind of detailed explanation I was looking for. Much appreciated! Also you mention russet mites, which I hope I never get. I have a local friend with a large grow op and he says they’re the absolute worst and a real issue out here. I’ll be on the lookout, and will probably never bring in outside clones to help keep them at bay. Hopefully they don’t find a way to invade my soil bin. And for what it’s worth, I’d like to think I keep my plants happy, in a nice environment and with a good feeding regimen, but I’ve only been at this for about 18 months and know that I have much more to learn.

You have to be prepared for them because sooner or later you'll get them. Unless you are running a clean op like a lab you'll get them. I personally have moved away from the heavier stuff and like to rotate azamax (some consider heavy, I don't), green clean and DIY iso/water/dish soap mix. I also like just good old neem as a preventative. I actually like the smell but the wife hates is so much.

For ventilation to work properly you need to have the fans and filters sized correctly. You might be pulling too much air through your filter too fast and it’s not having the ability to filter it.

No the temps spiked like crazy in New Brunswick the last week temps been all fuct up.. super hot one day even tho my tent is in the basement the two lights and all the ducting was still making it go into the low 80s and I wanted it 79 or under more like 75-77 now that I’m 2 weeks from harvest. Which I’ve stabilized for the most part anyways I donno what u idiots r going on about my run been pretty flawless so far, big fat stacks in my tent rn solid as iccce

My temps ain’t even rly off, I was just complaining about the tent being lil too hot for my liking for 6-7 hrs max lol, I opened the freezer for 20 min by another fan blowing directly in the tent and that dropped it from 83 to 79 anyways mid afternoon that cut that brutal heat out they experienced for 2-3 hrs maybe less .for most part it stays below 80 on, and bout 63-67 off, purps n reds coming out as of 10 days ago, u guys should be giving me mad cred for keeping this stupid azzz tent under 80 til finish lol

You could shorten the ducting, increase the fan size to increase air flow, separate the air cooling from your carbon filter and run the filter on its own fan scrubbing the tent, there are lots of things that can be done.
