Just wondering what’s the actual wattage and wondering if it’s any thing like Mars Hydro
You can keep posting these all day long but you are going to get the same answer for every one of them....YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. If the listing doesn't list actual power draw then it's garbage. If Mars Hydro is too expensive for you then LED may not be the best idea for you. Mars Hydro isn't high end...it's what a lot of people go with when they don't have the money to spend on high quality LED lights.

Well what do you recommend the actual wattage to be above for a 4x4 fucksake
You should be looking at lights like an HLG 550 or things like that. I run an alibaba 480w board that cost $350. You’re not gonna find a quality LED for under around $300 for a 4x4 unless you build it yourself.
LED has higher upfront cost -> cheaper long run
HID lower upfront cost -> more expensive long run

I answered this in your other thread when I told you that you would need four TS1000 lights for your 4x4 tent...but, to be more specific, you want 32W/square foot if you are using quantum boards or strips that have high quality diodes (LM301B, LM301H, or something similar) or 50W+/square foot for cheap LED lights.

You're still looking at close to $1/watt if you DIY. I just built my own strip lights and I spent $500 building two 250W lights.

Link the light, cant tell shit from that .

Probably simpler to just say don't buy any LED of amazon or any LED that is actively cooled.

Its going to cost you more money, more power and more heat than it would to just run a hps.

Good LED or no LED for a 4x4
Not really any reason to run cheap LED unless you have a weird space that it may offer better light spread.

And btw, how tf do you expect people to guess the wattage of a light based on a picture?

Quit being so lazy and do a little bit of research for yourself. I already listed several companies that offer some decent budget lights.

Ok I found one wasn’t looking to spend this much but the actual wattage is 451 watt and spider farm is a little too much
451w would be ok for top end LED,
Cheap LED would need 50w per square foot, which is 800w

That's a cheap LED.

Just stop looking on amazon.

If you want good led then build one or be prepared to pay £600 .

Or just use a cheap 600w HPS for £80

Ask yourself why you've got LED in your head.

If it isn't better than a hps then whats the point of buying one for more money.

Spend the money dude. Stop being cheap, or your weed will reflect that.
you need good light for good buds (among other things).
if you just want to veg a plant and get almost nothing from it then sure, buy a cheap amazon light.
these dudes know what they’re saying and you’re just dying to go cheap.
I tried it. A lot of people have. Just spend the money upfront. You’ll save it in the long run just from growing your own weed..

Everyone is led crazy it makes you think you really need them.

As a new grower unless you are pretty flush for cash its going to be too exspensive to get a decent model pre built and still not cheap to diy either.

If you cant afford it use hps or cmh, both them will light a 4x4 with ease and you can upgrade at a later date to leds.

Its a hot topic for newbies, we know you want to be leds but its just not a cheap option. Were also trying just to grow cannabis here, all these light questions wouldnt exist if you stopped trying to get the best on a low budget - thats the real problem you should address.

One idea is to find someone here near you with a good board they are selling cheap, maybe last years model they dont need now. Given some seem rated for ten years of life the second hand market must do a lot of trade.

I messaged a guy who builds led grow lights and I’m gonna compare because I now what to look for know. I’m pretty new to this forum but I didn’t know the forum worked like that so stop getting on me all of ya and I’m from the UK I know the brands are good that you said but it’s not like the US and half of the lights are shit that are listed on a lot of websites.
