In need of help with my DWC setup and stunted plants.

I started my seeds on may 15, I’m trying a DWC setup this time round. Before I was using aeroponics set up. I’m doing this to learn more thing. So now I’m having problems with ph everyday it’s driving me nuts. Also my plants are growing roots and there very long, plant is not so big. I’m growing sugar breath from humbolt seeds and skywalker kush. I’m very sad that there not doing well. I really need some help here.

It looks like you are off to the races. Some nutes are more ph stable than others.

The other thing would be to keep that rockwool cube out of the water.

So my ph is at 5.8 and my ppm is at 480. And yes the rock wool is not getting to wet. Water is not touching the baskets

How big are those baskets? I had problems with wet rockwool, never used it before, you think it’s dry, and it’s too wet. I was in rockwool stunt land. I know now though, I’m going to use rapid rooters next time myself for multiple reasons other then germination and seedling issues.

The thing that made me comment was that the Grodan cube is at the bottom of the net. Splash and spray will keep it soaked and can cause root and stem issues. I really just use the cubes as a substrate to allow the plant to anchor itself into the lid. I add about 1-2" of hydroton in the basket and then the cube. It stays dry during the grow.

the water level is about 1 inch from the basket. Should I bring the water even lower?

You can't rush a plant to grow ...patience

No doubt they are slow up to this point, dwc sucks for starting seeds, but they made it through the worst part and you’re fine now. Next time just pop them in promix and transplant into dwc
