So I have a couple questions and concerns. Day 42 for the NL auto (right) day 38 for the WW auto (left)
Grown in coco
Gh 3part-micro-gro-bloom-calimagic
Almost getting to the point of watering everyday.
I had a successful top on the ww and possibly fimmed the nl. I’ve defol a few times so far on both. Ww looking good imo with the nl looking bushy. More defol? Take bottom shoots off? Idk. They are both in a 5 gal cloth pot. Having worries with the nl because the roots are poking out the bottom (normal) but now I’m having a lot of ground roots starting to show at the top of the medium. Bigger pot???. Biggest question- I’ve noticed about 2 hours before lights off they look kinda bad. Maybe falling asleep too early. Started happening a few days ago. They perk up about an hour after lights on. 18/6 schedule. Hitting dli too early? Little worried but they’ve been coming along pretty good. Thinking they are in the “stretch” right now. Close to a week in flowering.
I’ll upload better pics as days go by.

Pretty. I'm growing some GG autos right now. Because they have such a short life, I'm going to ScrOG. I've heard topping stresses them out and slows overall growth. Fine for photo, bad for auto, but it is debated as to what's best.

As to your question, I don't see any issue with doing a 19/5 or 20/4 light schedule. Autos can take it and if your plants are telling you they want more light, give it to them!

I suppose if you're feeding too late in the day, they might get a little droopy before morning also.

What is your humidity? If you got roots coming out the top of your soil, its likely way way way to high.

You do have an exhaust fan in your tent right? Blowing air out of the tent at all times? It looks like you have the vent at the bottom of the tent in the back closed???

@JoeBlow5823 thanks for the pro tip, i never realized the roots will do that. i just assumed that it was erosion, and the roots were just filling up the pot. my roots stopped doing it as soon as i got proper ventilation...who knew...joeblow5823 did, yeah he did! thanks again friend, happy growing

Glad you already got that sorted out. Dry dirt "prunes" roots. Thats one big advantage of fabric pots, roots dont keep growing and get bound.

I would run more than 18 if i could. They act like they only want 15 or 16 hrs.
Ill upload more pics in a sec with tent setup humidity and all that.

I know people don’t like the purple lights in the pics but it’s what I can do right now lol. I’ve seen plenty of reddit posts bragging about their stalk size comparing it with a quarter. So I did just for shits. At 42 days in prob not half life yet. Is this something unusual? I’m guessing it’s good but I might need it to stop soon. Humidity goes from 50-70% temps at 73-81f sometimes gets 82. Light sf1000 and a 235w led. All but one intake vent closed. One fan. Carbon filter. It’s stuffed in a closet tent @ 32x32x64
Starting to see the first growth at the bud sites today. Dosed with 6ml per g of bloom on the 13th and will be watering with nutes today.

26 days later and everything is rolling... haven’t had any issues besides my ww starting to foxtail. It’s not only doing it at the buds at top but on the lower buds too. I’m thinking it’s just too much stress from a lot of defol. Genetics was a thought too but I’m not sure tbh. If anyone has ideas on why it’s foxtailing id love to hear. Switched from GH 3 part to the AN Sensi coco 2 part. I’m liking that much more than the GH. Using a lot less ph down. Runoff on both plants have been around 1200ppm the past week so I’ve dropped ppm down to 700 when I feed to lower it a bit. Small signs of over feeding but very minimal. Just pushing them a little to see what there breaking point is but not trying to overdue it.
