well is its either a 22-250 Remington or a .270 Winchester. There’s no 22-270. 22-250 has more muzzle velocity while the .270 has more kenetic energy from having a larger projectile and powder charge. A 22-250 is just a .223 with slightly bigger case (so it holds more powder) they both use the same bore sizes so share many projectiles except the higher weights the .223 doesn’t have enough powder to lob and mostly used for varmint. The .270 is a necked down .30-03 case which ends up being a tad bigger than a 243 and mostly used for medium and some large sized game
idk.. i just asked what was as it was passed to me and remember it as that. I shall send him a msg and see what he says. I have 0 knowlege of guns and rifles.

You mean a quickie, emotion-packed "adult" problem, or a growing issue?
Rest assured, I won't make you sit through my personal shit :eyesmoke:

Most certainly growing related my good sir. Will be posting details shortly, lacking in the phone department though so I mightn't be able to provide photos

understandable. Even gun guys get calibres confused. Did it want to rip ya shoulder off And blow ya ears out? If so it was probably a .270. I don’t like shooting my stepdads .243 without hearpro and the .270 would be louder again.

I don't mind what the weapon is, as long as you can be consistently accurate with it & get the job done with a single shot, not just blat/blast-away with heaps of rounds, hoping to get a result.

Machine guns, on the other hand, are a different story....

22-250 is a nice caliber, cheap to run and will absolutely ruin a roo or small pig but can also run small enough projectiles you’d have no problem hunting rabbits for pelts either.

the Winchester xtr’s are a nice gun, is it a model 70?
