Ah. Lot more plumbing and stuff involved than just regular DWC. I aim for max simplicity myself.

As long as it works for you. What was the problems with mosquitoes?
they get into the house and are drawn to water to lay eggs. I had a HUGE problem with them several grows back

Air pumps draw air (CO2) in and it comes out through the air stones, plus, pumps are noisy. Much better is a deep cycle timer (depending on gallons just a couple minutes to recirculate/aerate the rez powering a pump in the rez circulates and aerates without adding CO2. The bottle with stones in it takes it to another level, but is not necessary

You sure those weren't fungus gnats? Mosquitoes like stagnant water to lay eggs in and aren't really harmful to the plants. My incoming air is all filtered so even the tiniest bugs are kept out unless they sneak in when I go in or out. I keep yellow and blue sticky traps near the plants for an early warning system.

Not enough CO2 in the air to cause a problem in the tubs and noise is of no concern to me. I can't hear anything from the basement. Not even my water alarm in case of flood. lol
