I do the opposite, and thin out growth under the canopy. Mainly for better airflow, and to get rid of sucker branches.I personally defoliate under my led but not for the normal reason of doing it , I mainly do it if the fan leaves are covering bud sites that could be getting light but I only defoliate if I’ve tried moving leaves out the way and it still doesn’t make a gap for light to penetrate
Im not sold on the idea of removing leaves from the top so the larf gets more light. Do you find you get more product than when you dont remove leaves?
