CocoWhat are you growing in?
CocoWhat are you growing in?
I wouldn't even worry about what a soil ph meter says, not accurate at all.
My runoff was at 950 last feed so i flushed it. Gonna water today and see what my runoff is todayI wouldn't even worry about what a soil ph meter says, not accurate at all.
Have you checked your ppms in your runoff?
This is what I experienced as wellK well i gave them water my runoff is at 900 ppm again even though i flushed it till it read 300 ppm and my runoff ph is at 6.0 stable
Ya this soil holds to much salt. I just flushed it till it read 250 ppm you think i should give a bit of calmag or wait till it drys againThis is what I experienced as well
Happy frogSo are you running soil or coco I got lost...? That cheapo is useless at all.
No i have a good ph pen lolAnd how you measure your runoff pH? Hope not the same way...
using tap water that has a ppm of 170Okay then I can only say, that flushing soil to the EC 0,5 gives you always pH around 6,0 because its peat based (flushing coco gives you 7,0 ). Do you use tap or RO? Use calmag only if RO and not too much. This is probably K def ruins your leaves so rise your feed to EC 2,0 and look what happens. Also aim your feed and water to pH 7,0 since your soil is pH 6,0... maybe start to think about top dress your soil with dolomite lime to rise your soil pH (if it has time to take effect). Thats what I would do but maybe I am not right. Good luck
True. 95% of new growers won't be starting with this tho lolThat's depends on which one you have.

What's the time to stable pH reading for that pen? As it happens, I'm in the market for a new unit. I hear great things about Bluelab, so my sight is in that direction currently. That's depends on which one you have.

Ya I bought the cheesy green one off Amazon at first. I tested it and compared it to the drops, and that thing was way off. It went back right away. I finally got tired of guessing and bought the BlueLab one.True. 95% of new growers won't be starting with this tho lol
It's gives a pretty close reading instantly, but after a couple minutes it seems to be totally stable. I haven't used it a bunch yet. But it makes it really nice if I want to actually know what my soil pH is. @Renfro is the one who recommended it.What's the time to stable pH reading for that pen?
