I did. I also spent a good amount of money on all my equipment and electric bills for a 1000w running 20 hours a day are a bit annoying but they charge 25$ a gram for mediocre weed at the stores around me so 4 grams pays for the months electric bill.

Dude, I'm middle of the pack, there are Allstars on this site. I learned mostly here and youtube. I really like kyle kushman and Bill ward on youtube. Very knowledgeable videos. It took me about 10 years, but I cut corners and was cheap. I always grew with the cheap CFL lights and shitty LEDs. I never used hps lights due to my situation with space, heat etc.

But since quantum led boards came out...WOW! Everyone will swear by what they love. HLG, spider farmer and mars offer great value lights, especially for beginners. Get a discount code if your going to purchase one.

It's amazing that you've done all that, cash for my equipment was limited so I had to work with what I have, considering my equipment is low quality I think I've done okay for my first time, I hope to get better as time goes by with better equipment

Yeah with electricity its easily a couple grand american to get through your first grow if going with a 5x5 and 1000w hps.
