ehh try offloading a pound for 4-5k. Doable but an easy task vs 3-3.5k/p which walks out the door.

Simply put people growing bulk don’t want it to sit around. Quality comes from the smaller boutique growers who can afford to sit and ask a better price. I’d put everyone on this thread in the boutique grower category.
Depends where you are in oz i sell mine for 4k every time and i hear stories of the people that sell it on selling it for 500 a bag

You really reckon CMH is worth the extra Shekels?

I've been looking at standard 600W or 1000W dimmable digital ballasts & MH/HPS to get ahead of the start of the OD season, since it's going to get FUCKING COLD where I am in the next 6 weeks!!!! The only reason I want to use HID is because they generate heat. If temperature wasn't an issue, I'd just be pumping $'s into high-end LED's & be done with it.

I dunno if I can justify the outlay for something that's only going to get a few months' use before everything goes outside anyway.

I'm rambling........
they all work but if ur chasing heat then HPS is the go and its cheap, reliable and gets the job done. Not sure why they have dimmers on ballasts to be honest, its like taking a spark plug out of ur engine.

just bang some 600w magnetic ballasts in there with standard wing hoods. Cheap as fuck off ebay and more than sufficient for starting up some plants for outdoors (or a cheeky winter grow inside :blsmoke: ). Can’t beat hps in the cold.

it’s always market demand. Here I’m lucky to get 3.5k/p. I’ve bought asian as low as 1.8k/p and other bud for 2.6k/p. I’m in a high traffic are Though and a 3-5 hour drive west would see me get 4-5k easy but fuck dealing with those rednecks I don’t really know.

Drop the lights off temps.
Its probably pheno related as u said but dropping the lights off temps does bring out Autumn like colours.

either way it screws the spectrum of the bulbs up and lowers the lifespan (can also cause them to explode on the super lumen setting). 1 good thing is the shielding though.
Yeah i usually use old flower room bulbs for my veg light anyway dont mind it lowering life span and what not and im talking when theyre young enough that 400w of dimmed old bulb light is plenty for them. But i got a 315cmh in the veg twnt now to so i doubt ill ever touch the dimmer in the veg tent ever again
