Drying my plant

Hello, I cut my plant down 2 nights ago, the temp and humidity in my grow box is 70F and 55-60% humidity. I heard the plant is supposed to smell more like weed when its drying, but it smells kind of like when the gardeners come by and cut the bushes outside. Is this normal?? Will my plant develop more of a weed smell as it drys out more??

Smell mainly is strain dependent

I’ve cut 2 other plants down before. Those came out not very good but only dried 2-3 days. This plant my goal is 7-10. And I think I’m on the right track. The strain is some kind of cookie strain. When I slightly squeeze the bud and smell my fingers it smells like cookies. But just the aroma of the plant just smells like a leaf. Am I tripping?

It's probably just the fan leaves and wet leaf putting off that odor should go away as it dries maybe idk?

I hope so. I need to just wait and see

It's pretty normal for smell to fade when drying. It should return with curing.
