I'm still VERY new, but I'm growing in FFOF as well.
5 gal fabric / no nutes, teas or anything added - I'm new enough that I didn't even add any perlite....

I have read over and over that FFOF is a highly amended - "hot" - soil, and needs little, if any additional help.
As such, I started in FFOF with nothing added, top dressed with FFOF at week 3.5, and will be top dressing with FFOF again in a week or so.
Maaaaaaybe 1/4 strength bloom booster in 1 or 2 pots to see if it makes a noticeable difference.
Point being that FFOF growers need to be aware of how many nutes came in the bag before adding more.

My girls are all flowering nicely and I can't find a reason to screw with that.

This is a great thread on using FFOF:

That’s awesome. As I said I didn’t add anything for about 5 weeks and looking at what you’ve said I should have waited even longer. Next grow I’ll have to figure that out!

That's why I'm reading every 4x4 / FFOF journal I can find!

The FFOF thread by @Budzbuddha suggests using some nutes, and I'll probably follow that formula next grow; but I'm in week 3 flowering with just a 1/2" ish top dress at week 3.5 and they look amazing. **edit** - not because of this rookie grower!

That said - I'm concerned about soil depletion before the end of flowering. So I have another top dress scheduled in a week or so.
I want to do a FFOF only grow as a baseline for what the base soil can do - otherwise I can't really determine what effect nutes will have.
That said, I'm considering adding 1/4-1/2 strength Dr. Earth Flower Girl to 4 of my 7 on my top dress - I figure that way I will still have a FFOF / water baseline to work from before I get hooked on the bottle or start buying baggies of powder lol!

I’m liking your thought process. Maybe next grow will be completely organic and I’ll ditch the Jacks bloom and see how she grows. I pondered tip dressing with FFOF because I’ve noticed I have lost some soil but I decided to let it be.
Oh the flip side I’ve read a lot of things saying Jacks is a great fert. I’m using the 20-20-20 for my peppers outside right now and they seem to like it. But....I didn’t basically burn them to death lmao.

I used nutes with it and got nutelockout just as i switched to 12/12 there doing okay now but are a bit behind. Good news is i dont have to feed nutes anymore!

One of my friends suggested FFOF / top dressing 2X with FFOF only and just letting them grow with one topping.

I'm terrible at following instructions - so I quadlined / LST'd them. :D
But I have not added anything to the base FFOF except for more FFOF.
Really happy with how the soil / nute aspect of my grow is going - I have more time to drive my Wife crazy researching lights upgrades and drawing up plans to convert the office...

That’s awesome! I’m glad it’s going well. I should grab another bag of it. I’ve been researching lights and stuff also. I like my space bucket because it’s small. But it’s hard to work on the plant so I’ve pondered building a box or getting a smaller tent. I was eyeing the HLG 96 v2.

4'X4'X7' --- 7 hybrid & hybrid indica. You can see the individuals in the pic above if you look carefully.
Not crowded yet, but they're still stretching abit. Good canopy management lesson for me!
I took off LST hooks and let them start going vertical, re: I need to add more lights (will be fully addressed next grow). Vertical height is not a problem on this round.

I had debated between 3 or 5 gal - and settled on 5 for the additional soil/"fuel" capacity.
The extra diameter helped with top dressing and plant spacing --- until they overgrew the sides, now they're a few inches apart.

Here's three pics of my White Widow. They'll be five weeks tomorrow.

I too use FFOF. I also use Advanced Nutrients and am just getting a handle on how to use them effectively.

Your buds look great! Good work. How many grows under your belt?
Thanks! This is my first grow all together and decided to try it out in a space bucket. Yours are looking good. Makes me want to build a bigger space for my next grow. I’m at 57 days of flower right now.

Pictures are deceiving. I'm still working at it.
