Can't find the culprit.

Over the last few days, I keep noticing white spots appearing on leaf blades.

I cut them off and examine them under my microscope and see weird damage but nothing that indicates what could cause it.

It looks like it could be thrips but there's an equal possibility it could be over watering, it could be light burn, it could be a whole list of anything.

I'm trying to remember scientific method so I can eliminate possibilities and narrow it down to cause from effect but I'm a stoner with a shit ton of life on my plate.

I need some thoughts and possible solutions to help me contain this before it gets to be a serious issue.

I have zero idea what the problem is, I know to the eye, the spots look white, under the scope they look yellow. I do not have a male in the room, I have a female and 3 unknown genders (no sex showing at all at any node). I have no idea what bugs to consider suspect aside from thrips but I've never seen a thrip.

Hopefully someone has seen this before. The spots started out on the spiky parts of the leaf blades, I cut them off and waited. Now I'm seeing tiny spots appearing on other leaves.

Do some zoom scans on your soil too...not cellular level, but closeups.
When I first started I had something nibbling leaves at night...took me weeks to find out it was some potato bug or something like that...well thats what we called them when I was a kid...lol
Also what about wrapping some tape around the base of the plant with sticky side out...that way if something is crawling up it, it might just get stuck and caught...also the bucket its in.
That might help narrow down if its a "flyer" or "crawler".
And of course don't leave the tape on for weeks or anything...sure you knew that tho. :P

Most bug bites start out white then turn yellow as the plant heals

Some of your pics do look like bug bites. The pic with the damage on the side of the leaf looks like it might not be bugs but wind or just weird growth.

Many bugs are active at night which might help you spot the culprit

Good news is you have spotted the issue early and if you aren't against spraying, then a simple IPM would likely eliminate your problem. Good luck!

I may have found one of the culprits.

I decided to jump ahead of schedule, feed the plants and defoliate a bit and I noticed a white thing on a petiole.

Is this an egg, egg case or something else?
