the most simple hydroponic system

What is the most simple and inexpensive hydroponic system to make and use?
What is the best medium to use in it that I can wash and reuse to prevent bringing outside stuff into my house?
I understand that there may be a steep learning curve, but I swear that the only place that I am getting thrips is through my bags of promix or sunshine mix, and I am about done with them.

5 gal bucket
Net pot lid, I use 3" and cut into lids myself but are a bit unstable with Big plants
Hydrotron for medium, and yes reusable
Decent air pump, more psi the better
Air stone
Nutes for DWC
Hydroguard and z7 for goopies

Probably just the luck of the draw where and how it was stored.
over the last decade it has happened about 5 times, which is 5 times too many for me,
My cleanliness with regards to entering the room etc. can't really be improved upon, so I want to take the outside items out of the equation.

Cant go much less expensive and simpler than this thing i tried back in the days for fun :D

But yea you would need a bigger container if you wanted to flower it.

There are plenty of good methods, i dont claim to know what works the best, but skills with what ever you use matter more than what you use for results.

I like autopots. They are simple, effective and not very expensive. You can grow organic with them by making some supersoil and just feeding water, or you can use nutrient neutral medium and feed it synthetic nutes, or maybe do a bit of both.

Uttsa matta.....don't like Sea Food?
Not at all! Atlantic Lobster, Digby Clams, Mussels, Wild Salmon, Alaskan King Crab, Pan-fried haddock, Rainbow trout, I could go on but those are just some of my favorites BUT I would rather bury rotten fish heads on a hot day, all day, than touch a stripper's underwear. ... Also, I think I'll be barbecuing fish tonight on my kettle grill. (: I love seafood! and despite what may have been misconstrued in another thread, I love a clean vagina, too.

And I know guys who'd boil them down and make a nice broth.
Yes...clean vagina = Good Seafood.......used un-washed vagina = Seafood that's wasn't refrigerated.
Each to his own
