i always use normal dirt and throw a couple worms in there to loosen it up and eat toxins. plus they make there own worm castings so you dont have to buy it.

Don’t listen to all these idiots in the comments, I looked this very exact thing up and found myself here being discouraged about what these idiots online are saying, then a thought occurred to me. How tf was weed grown back in the day cuz I’m pretty sure they didn’t have all this fancy soil shit, sounding like they are trying to get you to buy a product and spend money instead of making it.

first grow yes but first time dealing no. i got connections i just want to grow my own so i can cut back on the money i got to spend on a oz or 8 ball and just grow my own.
With the examples you just gave you push tiny amounts of weight.

Selling pounds of weed ain't the same homie. You better have buyers lined up or your gonna be selling it at rock bottom prices.

Then you also have to consider something goes wrong with your grow and then you can't supply what you had agreed apon if you do have people lined up.

I wish you well but this is a bad plan man.

i was just wondering if you could just use regular dirt to grow my weed in because i need to make some cash for my baby on the way so yeah i really need to know. please help? thank you.
"I was just wondering if this weed I want to grow will grow in dirt?"
Ever seen a weed that didn't want to grow?
Question rightly asked is: "Will it be worth my while to grow cannabis in dirt?"
The answer is: quite potentially yes.
If you can grow it full season, outside.
That way it will produce enough to actually make a couple bucks.
Inside, with yard dirt..... I can't say I have a photo album of people who have amazed me. Usually they waste their time.

I have grown hydro & aquaponics, dwc, aeroponics, coco, peat, rols etc.. in my 30 yrs growing indoors and out I've come to the simplicity of return. So Rols was the winner for me. I use actual hand selected and screened soil, I then amend it with perlite, vermiculite, castings & lime/gypsum.. then I mix peat moss at about 1/3 and coco at about 1/3. I then go for adding dte organics for nutes & aeration like crab meal, vegan mix meals, fish or reg bone meal, frass, rice hulls etc. I also add zeolite clinoptilolite & ceramic bio rings I've salvaged from used aquarium filtration.. same for the charcoal I mix that with bio char for amendments. I've recycled this mix for over 15 years only adding homemade compost & amendments after a few cycles. It doesn't yield like hydro, but the flavors & terps secondary metabolites etc and simplicity more than make up for yields. Plus my soil is alive, it's living & moving under a scope, fully capable of nurturing a plant itself at 100% 24/7 due to a harmonious plant- active rhizosphere.. just add water, light, an occasional tea or topdress and your good.. no testing ph, ppm, tds etc. guessing what nutes to add at which week at what ppm.. I'm too old for all that, one could say I stopped bottle feeding at a young stage of my growing cultivation history. I do occasional buy liquid mother cultures of certain bacterias & enzymes etc but everything else is dry nutes now.
