Dems side with Republicans to reject amendment to reduce Pentagon budget by 10%

That's the idea, but if Democrats fail to deliver any meaningful legislation, voters won't vote for Democrats in the midterms or in 2024, and they won't have the benefit of pointing at the alternative in Trump and his failed administration.
Yeah I know this troll, it is exactly how the Republicans ran with the Tea Party and ran it right into the Occupy Wallstreet protests. That was how Obama ended up being trolled by the Republicans for the last 6 years he was in office.

Biden is going to have to rebuild a lot of what Trump has knocked over like a spoiled child losing at monopoly flipping the board.

The next president is going to have to deal with the fallout, that means dealing with things like the eviction crisis/unemployment/healthcare in the immediate term. How Democrats in congress seem to be signalling now doesn't inspire very much hope they'll succeed. They're already caving to Republicans on actual relief before negotiations even begin. So if Biden fumbles like Trump did voters are going to let him know in 2022. It won't be the voters fault for not supporting the Democratic party, it'll be the Democratic politicians for not actually getting the things they want done.
I have no idea what you are watching, you should post some of it if you think it is legitimate, because it seems like somehow you are mixing up where we are at today (Trump as president, Senate in Republican control, and cultists in all of the intelligence agencies and DOJ) is in anyway shape or form the same as we will be if Biden wins the Presidency, and the Democrats can hold onto the House (still get investigations, but without all of the trolling of claiming POTUS to be able to not answer), and win the Senate (appointments being timely).

It is almost like you are blaming Biden now for something that you are pretending is a scenario that is likely to happen.

I see that Pad has conceded and started just being an ass. Or arse or bum or buttock or whatever people want to call it, eh, @DIY-HP-LED ?

Bust being $0 extra for families in need of the extra unemployment money in the time of this pandemic doesn't seem helpful to me.

It seems the left-troll is trying to sell how Democrats should act should painting everyone on the left as irrational.

Pad is talking about the people who didn't show up for Bernie this year. That's their chimera. They talk about this uuuuuuge untapped well that prefer Republicans over Democrats because Democrats aren't liberal enough for them. Let that sink in for a moment. Bernie said he was going to win because an energetic flood of non-voters would sweep aside Democrats and vote him in.

Now he's saying we should act without thought to implement what HE wants. His reason? These same voters who didn't magically appear this spring to vote for Bernie.

DNC platform committee voted

medicare for all - 36 in favor 125 against (85% of Democratic voters support)
legalize marijuana - 50 in favor 106 against (66% of American voters support)
condition aid to Israel, mention 'occupation' struck down - 117 v. 34

All conservative right wing positions that go against Democratic constituents and values

Well, there is a reason for all of those votes that I'm certain you are too simple to understand.

So I'll leave it at that.

Well, there is a reason for all of those votes
The reason is because most politicians are influenced by the corporate interests that financially back their political campaigns

Most Democratic voters support legalizing marijuana, medicare for all, and oppose the illegal settlements on Palestinian land. Competitors in the pharmaceuticals and insurance industries who donate on average $200K to those on the committee who voted against their Democratic constituents oppose them. So it's clear who the members of the committee actually support.

“If all this takes eliminating the filibuster, another Jim Crow relic, in order to secure the God-given rights of every American, then that’s what we should do,”

The Democrats dropping that req for the appointments Obama tried to make is what ended up with Trump stuffing judges. We cannot afford to allow the Republicans whatever it is that they would be able to push through if this was dropped.

But I do trust Obama knows a lot more about the laws hurting our people than I do. And I am willing to be open to being wrong on this until someone addresses the issues that I am bringing up however I still say as important as it was that Obama got to appoint his cabinet that the Republicans blocked, Trump using that to stuff 200 lifetime judge appointments to idiot trolls is worse in the long run.

It is a shame that your clip cut out the very next part, all the discouraging trolls to get people to not vote.

There is no path to winning 60 seats in the Senate, if they could, they wouldn't need to kill the filibuster to pass meaningful legislation

We've already ran this experiment during Obama's administration. I'm telling you what's going to happen because it's happened before. If they don't kill it, they won't remain popular enough to stay in power. You want Democrats in power, right? They have to offer Democratic voters what they want, and it won't really matter what excuse they use if they don't get it done, blame Republicans, blame Democratic voters, do the same thing they always do. The results will remain the same.
Tell us again how Nancy Pelosi owes all those Republicans when elected her Speaker.

"Give up on being a majority controlling party and let Republicans stymie all progress. That't the Progressive platform. "

Just saying it in plain text.

Show us where a so-called "Progressive" ran and won a contested district against a Republican?

Yes, Kamala Harris is more reliable in her support of progressive issues than Bernie is. Not surprised.

Eliminate the fillibuster. That's what would need to happen in order to get that New Green Deal legislation passed through the Senate next term. Then the next time Republicans have the majority, they repeal it. Just saying, it's a dumb idea but sometimes a dumb thing is the better alternative to doing nothing, which is what Republicans want to do.

I'm not firmly one way or the other, I just want an actual debate on the subject. One where we explore alternatives, not just one solution. It's dumb to jump to a conclusion without thinking it through.
