Hello all about to get started here and have been looking for a high temp Shut-off that I can use with my 240v ballasts I seem to be only able to find 120v. I would like to avoid wiring my own relay if possible but any help will be appreciated thank you!

You will need a controller with a trigger cord (relay) and then you can plug that into a high temp shutoff thats plugged into the timer.

What's the purpose? Turn off lights when grow room gets too hot?
Hey man, glad you popped in. I shoulda tagged you.

Thats what I am figuring. I have my side lighting on a high temp shutoff, works great during the hot summer months. If my AC unit can't keep up the lights shut down, wait for the room to cool and then kick back on after a delay. The Titan Zephyr 2 is a good one. I don't know of any here in North America that work on 240 volt power though, they are all designed to be used on the 120 volt trigger cord of a lighting controller, perhaps there is a European model that would work for him? I wonder how many watts he wants to put through it? He says "ballasts".

hey man I’ll be running 2900 watts total for lighting via
2-1k HPS
1-600w MH
1-300w t5

I’m would it be possible to wire a high temp Shut-off into the sub panel I have feeding my room?
I still haven’t had any luck finding a 240v controller with high temp Shut-off

I wouldn't wanna high temp cut out the whole panel, I would imagine you have ventilation/cooling/dehumidification loads on there as well. Plus the contactor would have to be of larger amperage.

I would just grab a lighting controller and wire that to a breaker in your sub panel, then use the trigger cord plugged into a high temp shutoff thats plugged into a reliable timer.

I use the Titan lighting controllers, with dual trigger cords (not the ones with an internal timer). Each trigger cord will control one side of the controller. Plug some lights into side A, others into side B, when it gets too hot have one side shut down so the other stays on to keep the light cycle valid. I do this with my side lighting while the overheads stay on.

The Helios 6 or 8 would be my suggestion for the controller. The 6 and 8 have different plugs, the Helios 8 having the universal X plug that will accept a 120 volt power cord or a 240 volt power cord. The Helios 6 only takes the 240 volt plugs.

Curious if I could sponge off this topic.. I'm looking for a high temperature shut off as well.. I use a old school board my electrician built.. 8 x 240 sockets connected to breaker, tied into a old school timer, then wired to my 50amp breaker in my panel.... Anyone know what product I can buy that would alert me via smart phone when the temperature went too high as well as shut down my timer which in turn will turn off my lights... Or do I just have to buy the titan panel controllers and replace my old board?

I just added a CAP High Temp Shut Off -HLC-1 to shut off the Co2 burner in the lung room.
I have two Titan Controls Classic Series Helios 11, 4-Light Controller with Trigger Cord, 240 Volt, Black
Those controllers have an older on-delay with temp/shut down that controls the trigger cord.

Better to be safe than sorry in my opinion.

A little late on the reply here but to answer.

I have a unit that delays the "power-on" fifteen minutes. This allows bulbs and ballasts to cool down before re-light.
Sometimes the power blacks out for just a short time. That knocks the HPS off and so even though the power is back on in thirty seconds it gives those bulbs time to cool down before re-start.

On the high-temp shutdown. It shuts off the 120 power when the probe gets to the set level.
I use mine to shut off the C02 burner in a separate lung room so inlet air will cool down and flower room will cool down.
