Samsung H series strips, Arrow seems to be blowing them out! what a deal!

Grabbed a bunch to expand my veg room. thanks for letting us know!! got a few extra drivers from cobs and quantum boards, a couple hlg 185H-C1400 and some HLG-320H-54A. would the 185H-c1400 fry the strips with them being rated at 450mA? can I use the 54A's if i turned the voltage down? data sheet says its adjustable down to 49v. or should I be looking at some 24v or 48v? a

There have been many side by side grow journals done testing spectrum, results speak for themselves. Theres a reason people pick 3k for flower :).

I have Hlg's DIY diablo for main lighting and its 4k sadly... I bought the day they released it, before checking the spectrum :bigjoint: I did my first run and harvested 2 weeks ago. The results weren't bad actually I almost hit 2g per W but everybody is saying 3k is better so I wanted to build a side lighting from the f strips but again sadly they are 4k :eyesmoke:

If you are hitting almost 2g per watt using 4000k I would think you just proved the spectrum doesn't matter as much as having lots of it ;)

it was more airy but I think it was like that because it was a hot summer lots of high 80's almost 90's. And I grew a strain that I am not familiar so I cant say less trichs but I feel that way...

Nah he shared the H series ones in the OP, these are a different model number. Ill do some research.

DigiKey says they are series "LT-M562B_G2"

EDIT:
Nvm, if you click on the datasheet is doesn't list growing as a use, whereas the others do, so I'll take that as a hint... Leaving post up so people can see how far a little research goes lol I could have been a dumbass and bought them without looking further into it.

The QB 96s have red and deep red diodes and can be mounted on a frame and used as side lighting. Some Timber COB daisies in 3000K or even 1750K would be a nice addition to your 4000k.

It says they are M series which i am not familiar with but....

The data sheet is linked there but the quick at a glance thing to see how good the diode at a glance is to look at

Lumens/Watt @ Current - Test141 lm/W
Those H and f series is 180 lm/w and the 301b/h ones are over 200.

Edit: id rather a H in 4000k than one of those in 3000k. thats like 20% less light, spectrum difference would be much smaller than 20% id think.

If i have a 4x4 tent and i want 600 watts for it the only difference between running hot and not is how many strips you use in your setup to cover that area. For my 4x4 tent i went with constant current @ 700ma using 36 strips. Sure i could have put more light in but do you really need more than 40watts/square foot of high efficiency led? I dont think so (i could be wrong but thats what i aimed for), unless you get into co2. In the end you can do a setup with less strips to get 600watt in that tent, but you will just produce more heat. The strips are so cheap theres really no reason to drive them hot even if you dont care about cooling IMHO.

Edit: i know the proper way of doing it with leds is using ppfd, i was just trying to simplify the expanation.

So I really don't know shit about electricity, I have a buddy whose built a few lights that's going to help me, but I'm not sure he really knows much either... I just know he hasn't burnt his house down which is enough for me. lmao. So I have a 5x5 space, just now realizing the strips are 2ft. Could I build a frame for these that'd be 4x4 and have enough light to cover a 5x5? I'm guessing I'd need 2 drivers, I'd want someone in the range of 800 watts on there. Sorry for the dumb question, I'm sure you can tell I don't know shit, but I'm excited to learn a new skill and a lil advice goes a long way right now hahaha. My plan would be to also build one for a 4x3 space, that might be a little harder, and then a small veg light for a 2x2. Wasn't even taking into account the length of the strips at the time, prob should have got some 1ft ones, if they even have them in the same model? I'll have to look around.

EDIT: There is a metal super market just a few miles from me thankfully. Stoked on that. Just have to figure out what I need for drivers and then to figure out the frame.
 
So i thought i would offer a pic of what 600w of these in a 4x4x6.5 foot tent with four plants will do. This was abit of an experiment to see how much i could fit into a tent on a wager with a friend this is entering week 3 flower, its a bit ridiculous but id like to see you try it with an hps. They were vegged and topped way too long and way too many times. They currently stand about 5'10 and the stretch is done :). I plan on moving 2 of them into another 4x4 once i win that bet in a week haha.
