i have 2 cfls and im gettin to lamps but i need to grow a plant that is short bushy and that only takes around 2 months or shorter if possible? how should i do this?
what is the fastest lighting technique?

nah i cant spend that kind of money on hids the cfls i have are fine i just wanna know whats the fastest i can grow with them

Do That For Acouple Months Then 12/12 Its Probably The Best You Can Do. When I Say 2 Months I Mean As A Minimum

You can't take a MJ plant from seed to harvest in two months. If that's what your asking to do, just forget it. Why would you want to waste the time, energy, risk, and money growing if you're not even going to give it the time it needs to be done right??

Weedman spend some time in the FAQ area man, I am a newb to this site too and it really is a good place to start, the questions you are asking have too many variables involved other than lighting, a good answer to your questions on lighting can be found on a thread in the Indoor Lighting section where a dude did a test between HPS,CFL AND FLURO it all depends on how serious you are about the end result, because if its just cabbage you want to grow then its easier to buy it.

Well seed to finish flower is gonna take a while.I take clones veg for 10-12 days then harvest in 5-6 weeks but I use mh and hps lighting as cfl will add a few moths to the process and the plants will stretch as the cfls unless you buy the 250 watt grow cfls for $90 a pop are not enough light.A used hps light can be grabbed for under $50 bucks.I grabbed a 600 watt setup hydrofarm for $48 last week and grab 400 watt hps lights for $30-40 delivered from ebay.So fastest way is to use clones and good non cfl lights.If using cfl plan on a 4-5 month grow from seed assuming you get a female off tops

read the FAQs sooner then later dude
get a clean razor, some ethanol to prepare the cut, cut off a fresh sprouted leave, cut it in an angle of 45° ruffly, dip it into semi-water and then sideways into some cloning hormone, either powder or gel and place it then either into a grow medium of choice or water. vola, you are cloning stuff

just go 12/12 from start to finish. the plant will stretch like crazy, and you wont get much, but it'll finish up in less than 2 months.
you'll need more light too, at least 3 CFL's per plant, no less than 26W each.
