I just read this post, I am doing this Krackty method on 1 of my plants this grow, so far so good, it is smaller than the ones with air-stones but she looks healthy as shiite. My friend had never heard of this and called me out on it saying I have to have an air-stone, nope you don't.Have you looked into the krackty method? I have grown pretty decent hydro plants with no airpumps at all
I use this TDS meter and it definitely measures EC lol. Just press shift.I have a tds meter that only reads ppm and it reads 500ppm and my ec meter reads both ppm and ec but I don't use it for the ppm reading because I don't quite get it. But maybe you're on to something. Maybe the tds reader I'm using is junk. I'm not seeing any major signs of nutrient burn so I'm not sure. I'll definitely be lowering my ppm and ec. See the pics below. These readings are all from the same bucket and thanks for the info!
Are you using maxibloom for veg and flower?Re nutes - I'm just using Maxibloom, Silica and Cal-Mag (which I haven't used yet)
I intend on doing so, yeah. With a little bit of Liquid Silica (also raises pH which is good because MaxiBloom lowers pH) and Cal-Mag (when needed)Are you using maxibloom for veg and flower?
i'm still on the fence about silica. i've tried it off and on for years and i'm not sure what if anything it does. somebody posted that a tissue analysis does show it being absorbed by the plant.Re nutes - I'm just using Maxibloom, Silica and Cal-Mag (which I haven't used yet)
you are correct, maxigrow is not needed. maxibloom is Lucas formula so it can be used start to finishI intend on doing so, yeah. With a little bit of Liquid Silica (also raises pH which is good because MaxiBloom lowers pH) and Cal-Mag (when needed)
