I used to brew up 7200 gallons of bear at a time. Actually dropped down to about 6900 by the time the cooking was done and sent it off to fermenting.
For a half year I used to be the Electronic Designer (it was an engineering position but I am not an Engineer) at a rocket plant. Sitting in the weekly meetings with the actual mechanical and chemical engineers, in a way you could say I was a rocket scientist.
Taught some night courses and part of the day program in a (what in the US would be called a community) college. Politics had me leave. I really liked teaching and the students seemed to think my classes were worth attending.
Sounds more glamorous than it was, a lot of banging your head against the wall. Except for the brewing part. That was a fun period of my life.
