1 big plant or 4 smaller ones for limited mobility ?

I've got a back injury and I'm finding it difficult maintaining a crop, I've no room to get in and maintain them as I'd like to, once they get to a certain size I can't get in for fans, dehumidifier, feed bucket + 4 plants normally so it's wall to wall or certainly no space to get in without removing all the gear out.

I'm thinking about using a 9/10 gallon pot and trying to grow either 3 bigger plants well trained or one huge plant well trained?

I'm looking for maximum yeild and I'm prepared to accept the longer veg periods, normall growing is getting to much for me, it's killing my back injury I'm in bloody agony tending to them.

Has anyone tried growing more than one plant in a pot or just one massive plant in a tent, any opinions, ideas, info or comments all welcome.

what about if you grew more plants but kept them in smaller pots rather then making them huge and have maintaining them irritate your back.
if you keep a couple good mother plants around you could literally always have plants flowering at all times so you wont need huge plants to have an upkeep of bud.
Just take your trimmings, root them then give them a week in soil in veg then flip them to flower.
once you get to week 5-6 start new trimmings and do the process all over again .

Smaller than same clone batch in pots half the size. Try 2-3gallon pots on cheap dollies. I use them to move my 10 gallon houseplants with sciatica. Like my lemon tree again. Follow the above rotational schedule. About 36" maw plants and under 10#'s each. Backs suck. Best wishes.

@MICHI-CAN it's not the plants themselves per say it's the moving of the feed bucket, take down the fan I've got mounted on a pole, and the dehumidifier, it's the bending and lifting them out that's getting too much.

@Jpwt92 I normally work with 4 but after a unscheduled break time was important so I have 9 atm if I could turn back the clock I'd rather veg 4 for longer 9 is to high maintenance.

@Nappertunity I like to fill as much as I don't like empty space, if I could grow multiple plants in one pot I'd be able to sit down and maintain it/them, i could put the pot on one of the dollies Much-can mentioned.
Anything I do requires reaching bending and stretching, I love to be able to go inside the tent instead of everything being done by reaching in/over and around.
So with that in mind the numbers are now more flexible but ideally with the same yeild?

It just goes to show what can be achieved with a pop bottle,very nice.
I like the look of the plant its very compact with short arms ideal for a sog but it's to labour intensive I'm afraid thank you for your thoughts though.

Smaller is better, less time spent growing the plant to the larger size and easier for someone with limited mobility. Here is 12 in a 2x2 setup... far easier to handle and I still pull about 10 oz from it every cycle

I was afraid to hear that, i don't mind trading some veg time but I put to much time and effort to be happy with any significant loss in yeild, the ideal scenario would be a 10/12 gallon pot with 3 or 4 plants in it, that would let me get everything in the tent including myself, with a dollie under the pot I could just rotate it between my legs nice and comfy, it's the lack of floor space that's the real problem.
Is 4 plants in 3 gallon pots any different to 4 plants in one 12 gallon pot?

30-50% less yield in my tries.

Just a wild thought. But a synthetic divider may prevent the chemical interactions I believe are responsible. Or just too many pigs in the trough. Thank you. I'm off and pondering. Love it.

My experience is faster above average yields with well done multiple small pants.

That's not beyond me I'm reasonable handy with DIY and I've just the thing for it, a sheet of corex?
I could make a 4x divider easily enough two appropriate pieces with a slot to join them, I'm feeling enthusiasm about this, I'd love it to be that simple?

Yes that's an option, in the past I've used the tent to fix the screen so again it's meant not being able to get in the tent everything had to be done by reaching over the screen, this time I'd put something around the pot/pots to hold the screen, also I don't mind a bit of extra veg time I'm not exactly Mr clock work with my crops, i cropped in June and didn't start seeds until the 1st of August... The threat of running out became a real, the Last I weighed I had 70g+ some pop corn bud to last until my present crop is ready.
