Hi guys. My first grow. So please be gentle.

I’ve had every issue possible through out this grow. Heat. Bugs. All sorts.

my setup is two mars TS1000 and 2 ISH300-S - Custom horticultural lighting system powered by Samsung LM301H

growing in soil light mix using Hesse nutes

currently I’m past week 10 of flower by a few days. Some look ready and some like a mile off. Lately the ones that look ready have really started to yellow but was told this is normal when they are nearing the end.

Welcome to RIU. Start looking at your trichomes, on the buds, not the leaves. They will tell you if you are ready.

the close up pic. Although a crappy Chinese loupe. Was on the bud.

it’s quite hard trying to get it to focus. Most look cloudy to me. But no ambers.

is the yellowing normal at this stage?

If you can try to pick up a USB microscope, I use one like this and it's only around $20. https://www.amazon.com/Microscope-Digital-Carrying-Compatible-Portable/dp/B085XZVFGT/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=usb+microscope&qid=1600809526&sr=8-4
Yellowing can be normal, depends on what is going on. Are you still feeding them?

i will have a look at that thanks.

yeah I was told to because of the yellowing. All of the plants all seem at different stages. They were from seed.

but the more ready looking ones I’m going to be flushing from now. Or should I carry on feeding.

I feed right to the end, just taper off the amount of nutes until harvest. The last couple of weeks when the plants are ripening is not when you should be starving them. That's my opinion at least. Click the search at the top right of page and type flush, you will be brought to 10 full pages of flushing articles. There is about one per day :)

LOL, don't get me wrong, flushing has a purpose. I grow in coco so if I was not feeding to run off correctly I might flush to get rid of salt buildups, can't flush the plant but you can flush the medium. Good luck bud, hope it comes out awesome for you. :bigjoint: :peace:

Dont even bother looking till they stop throwing white. Just stacking up and not ready
thanks. Will keep an eye on them.

it’s been a long old process. 10 weeks in flower so far. And I had them in veg for months on end aswell to fill up the space in the scrog

wasn’t perfect for my first but kind of glad I encountered every problem known to man. As I sort of know how to over come it now. My next lot will be clones anyway so they in theory should all progress at the same rate.

I had to flush once as had a build up.
But thanks for you advice dude. Will keep it upstairs for the next run.

I won’t even bother asking roughly how much could I get from this grow it will get everyone started.

When i was using bottled nutes in promix, i did water, water, feed. Did taper down the feed strength toward the end, not the frequency
