Mines past reveg from cutting. And I'm not digging up a 5gallon rootball to bring inside to reveg the stump. Like your thinking though. I'll be starting another search in a couple weeks though.Well maybe we should get your runt and my mistery lady together and have a real freakView attachment 4695658as always
So if my lights are not strong enough . Just for now . What should I do with the height of the light. Over 3 one gallon plants. They’re week 3 seedlings. A little shorter than normal obviously but they’re healthy and doing fine as of right now. if it’s only drawing 180w the light intensity should be stronger no? Isn’t that how led works ? @steve870why make up numbers? Light meters dont measure wattage pulled from the wall, so how is it reading "about just under 900 watts"and as mentionned that light pulls well under 200w. The problem when making things up is people cannot give you proper advice.
They’ve also not even hit veg stage yet. They’ve been above ground for maybe 2 1/2 weeks. Node spacing is great so far. It’s working on its 3rd node. I’ve lowered the light to maybe a foot above the plants. That light is only adequate to flower about 16 square inches, going to be a tight flowerring room with 6 plants
I’m saying how LED works in general . Say like a 4w led Has the brightness of about 40w bulb. I’m just trying to understand it all myself that’s all. Not saying you’re wrong either. I just want to know exactly what I’m dealing with. Hell I might just buy another one of these when I go to flower.i
i don't understand what you mean. 182w is 182w it's the same power as would be a 182 w hps
I want no part of the debate.I’m saying how LED works in general . Say like a 4w led Has the brightness of about 40w bulb. I’m just trying to understand it all myself that’s all. That's not really how it works, what you want to look at is the usable light. Cheap leds like these will produce around the same usable light as hps/mh watt for watt but they won't put out as much heat. That is of course different for higher end lightsI’m saying how LED works in general . Say like a 4w led Has the brightness of about 40w bulb. I’m just trying to understand it all myself that’s all. so what should I look for in a better light if I want to get one. What qualities should I be looking forThat's not really how it works, what you want to look at is the usable light. I’m not debating. I’m just trying to make sense of all of my confusion lol I’m not mad I bought a cheap light . I know it’s cheaper lol I just want to know how much it’ll work and how to get the best out of it . But that last post is no debate just wondering. My name says it all.I want no part of the debate.
You are looking for LED type and manufacturer for given intensity. It does vary across the multiples in each of those two. If I understand your question ? Yes there is a difference in output based upon led being compared to almost standard HID. Peace.
if you absolutely want led your should look for recent samsung diodes. But good led are very expensive 4-800$ a pieceso what should I look for in a better light if I want to get one. What qualities should I be looking for
I respect your honesty and questions. We all have them or will. I ran knock off V2 cree cobs for the last 5 years. Served Me well. Just made the jump to QB's. I would suggest a minimum of around a 100W actual per square foot with the cobs. You want 3500K - 3700K in LED. 3700K being my preference. My new boards are 750W total. Waiting to learn them when I come indoors.I’m not debating. I’m just trying to make sense of all of my confusion lol I’m not mad I bought a cheap light . Every one has their K. As long as it works for you and it is practical for your needs you're good. Master that and learn the rest as you do.Being a little bright electrically (tiny joke) but have no idea of the difference between run of the mill Leds and the serious Led strips available. I just decided to use roughly a minimum 40W (from wall) per sq/ft as a guide to flowering. I also lean toward using something like a 3000k light rather than purple or whatever. I was not about to pay $1k for lights at this stage of the game.
Failed to mention, have some 5000k for veg.Every one has their K. As long as it works for you and it is practical for your needs you're good. Master that and learn the rest as you do.
Please tell me that in the morning you tell the red head, “as always thank you for your time and best of luck”.I'm still going with the red head in the back of the bar LoL as always thank you for your time and the best of luck
