Do you need to cure your dryer weed; or can you just dry it? Also, can you put a piece of lasagna noodle (dry) in side the jar to help take out moisture in the curring process? Thank you for any answers. I'm retired and trying to grow for scoliosis pain.

You can just dry but curing will produce a smoother smoke and better flavor.

Ive never heard of anybody using pasta during the cure. Check out boveda humidity packs or Integra boost.

I'm 64, and growing up we had a way of making sugar not clumping up in humid weather. So we put either a saltine cracker or pasta in the jar with the sugar to keep it from clumping up. Just wondering if an old school thing like this help. Thanks for your response.

If you want to smoke your flower, then yes it needs to be dry.
If you'd like to enjoy it while you're smoking it, then you need to allow enough time for curing.

You want higher area per mass. Angel hair pasta ftw.

Already harvested. This was my first time growing, it was outside. I was late getting them. Next time I'll start them inside. I should get better results. But I was pleased to get something on my first try.

Congrats on your first harvest. Now that winter is coming you can get a little tent going so you can grow year round.

You can just let it dry your 1st grow.
I would not recommend using a jar at any point your 1st time as mold is your worst enemy at this point.
I would hang them with something keeping them from touching each other.
If you are not in a humid climate you should be fine.
Worry about avoiding mold your 1st grow is my opinion.
Try it after 7 days, if not dry enough try it again in another 7 days.
Give us a smoke report.

Curing helps break down the chlorophyll, iirc. It also helps the sugars and terps concentrate, iirc. It makes for a smoother and more enjoyable smoke. An old timer once told me: "Once the weed is dry enough that a joint stays lit, start the cure." If you're worried about excess moisture, silica packets are cheap, and will help, but you have to burp your jars daily. Don't leave the silica in once you're done. Bodevha packets are more expensive, but help maintain an RH level, rather than just absorbing as much moisture as they can. Just don't forget to burp your jars, and don't overfill them.
