Well , them drivers are hot as hell so it would remove quite a bit of heat but the question is , would it be enough ? Yes , you can move them wherever you want with proper size wiring. (and a little know how)hi id imagine someone has tried. so how much heat would i remove from my grow room by removing the driver and externally mounting it by extending the cord
im using a spider farmer sf 2000
well i grow in a confined space so maybe it help keep temps down but if its less then like 10c i guess it wouldn't be worth it.Well , them drivers are hot as hell so it would remove quite a bit of heat but the question is , would it be enough ? I use the exact same light and I dropped 3-4 degrees max pulling it out.hi id imagine someone has tried. so how much heat would i remove from my grow room by removing the driver and externally mounting it by extending the cord

oh yeah thanks for that info ill leave it on if you only gained only 4 degrees difference. i thought someone would of done it already and had the figuresI use the exact same light and I dropped 3-4 degrees max pulling it out.
Ambient temperatures outside the grow space matter, along with intake & out take fans
this is true but that constant running 20 watt heater is a lot and adds up fast in a small tent or space. It'll help a little.
Most drivers run at least 90% efficiency, so at most, it'll be like a 20-30 watt heater element.
