I really think my plants will have to go until the last week of October, possibly into November. I have shown them to a few and that is what they all recommend.I got two plants left. One will most likely come down this coming weekend, the other I’d like to see go to the end of October but that may be pushing it. Anyone else gonna be into November?
<tentatively raises hand> weather allowing, I heard a rumour there may be snow saturday, but thats a rumour. Also, I have it on strong advisement, that there will be a extreme front that will be coming through the last week of October, first week of November, very near the first, that is supposed to be a true N'oreaster. Predicting the 31st-1st myself... heres about where I am now, getting cloudy, A couple of these pics show a few pistils, that is from the same plant. The other pics, Im pressed to find any pistils that havent gone over.I got two plants left. Im with thatI remembered last night that I had a jeweler’s loupe kicking around from my late mother, and it turns out the 15X lens is perfect for looking at trichomes. Using it confirms it was the right call to hang in there and not chop earlier in the month.
Basically my two Balkhi are in the harvest window, Waziri 3 is a few days out, and I’ll have to keep fighting to drag Waziri 2 across the finish line lol.
They will be fine. Just because they are in shade doesnt mean they are not in the light of day, and this is what controls the plant. It expects these things, I think youll be fine.guys i made a hhuge rookie mistake. the spot where my garden is was sunny when i planted and is now in the shade all day. will plants still continue doing what they need to in the shade? or does this stop trich production or anything like that?
It just barely misses and thank you for that as well. I hope that’s the case because they still need more timeThey will be fine. Just because they are in shade doesnt mean they are not in the light of day, and this is what controls the plant. It expects these things, I think youll be fine.
I used to worry about the same thing, to the point where Id move my pots from one side of the garden to the other in the morning and back again for the evening light when an old timer I know laughed at me, and told me it was about daylight, not sunshine. If anything, I think this situation would lead your plant to finish its cycle in a natural way, Maybe a blessing in disguise.
Just MHO

Shut up with that rumor dammit... LOL! I hope I am not close to you..<tentatively raises hand> weather allowing, I heard a rumour there may be snow saturday, but thats a rumour. More important, another major cola presented with a single brown blade, which resulted in the finger splooshing through and creating the 'glory hole' of rot. Lopping them off as I go. In the trash for me with the rot, no wash, no save, just wreckage.
AAnp1e is the rot hole, hard to see but trust me its there, going out to schwack it now.
I have one kush that could go into November... I just dont think the weather will let it go... wish I was living down if Alabam, my daughters got a place down there, I gotta check it out, she has some animals, baby cows and goats, and I told her Id come down and build her a post and beam barn if she cuts the wood down now, should be dry for next year. I bet I could download some blueprints and designs off the internet somewhere... anyone got any leads on that???

I see half white pistils. Let it ride!ALERT!!! NEED MY RIU FRIENDS NOW EMERGENCY CALLING!!
OK, I need you to look closely at these pics and tell me im not killing myself by chopping now. Factors: Next TWO Days will be rain and thunderstorms, followed by some nighttime temps dropping into 30F but allegedly high 30's... we all know how the prediction is, iffy if anything. Heres the pics, I took as good as I could, please zoom as much as you can, maybe two sets because I took so many pics, but there is only 3-4 plants left.
Please help my friends, I need immediate assistance, cuz if im chopping I gotta do it NOW, while its still light, and before the rain comes.
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR THE ADVICE!!!
PS I have cut all the yellow fan leaves off, yes, the plant is near the end of life cycle, been flushing 15 days, I know it COULD be a few days longer but weighing the options...View attachment 4712106View attachment 4712107View attachment 4712108View attachment 4712109View attachment 4712110View attachment 4712111View attachment 4712112View attachment 4712113

I have five plants left. Three of them are going to need to at least the end of the month. The other two are definitely going to be into November. I'm glad they're in pots so I can bring them in at night if it gets too cold and I have a little rain shelter right next to my garden to bring them in for those days where it gets nasty out. As a person who's worked outside almost every day for the past 20 years the one thing I've realized about the weather it's impossible to predict. Long term forecasts are useless. I usually give the weatherman the next day at best best way to tell the weather for the day wake up stick your head out the window and look.if I had a dollar for every time one of my guys didn't come into work because the forecast said rain and it ended up being fine out I'd be retired by nowI got two plants left.
