Megacrop

I used Jacks for a while and it is great but I am always looking for a cheaper product with same quality. I switched to MC 2 part when it came out due to it being less than half the cost of Jack's with coupon. My god it performs the same and I no longer have to buy and add silicate since MC 2 part includes it. I do not buy part 2 from Jacks or Mega Crop since they are the same and can be found super cheap in large bulk. I get that Mega Crop basically just stole Jack's formula, but I am okay with that. Thanks to Jack for MC 2 part. Both are super soluble and both are crystal clear. I love it. Hopefully someone else copies it again reducing the price even further.

I was having problems with MCs 2 part since I tried it when it came out.

But what I did this entire veg run was feed it Jacks Full strength Ratios with MC and had no problems at all.

MCs A 3.6g
CalNit 2.4g
Epsom 1.2g

My First Run and 2nd run with MCs 2 part. I followed their ratios and I was running into problems in both veg and bloom.

So I decided Id stick with it one last time but use Jacks Ratios since MCs A and Jacks A are copies. Its the best its ever looked in veg.

I just flipped 3 days ago so hopefully it continues.

I basically just carried over ratios I used from Jack's like you. What ratio were you using before? Bag ratio?

ya I followed bag ratios. had problems for the entire veg thru harvest using it trying to make it work following its ratios. Had small almost popcorn nugs that foxtailed at the end of harvest.

I knew they were the same idk why I didnt just carry it over. I only bought MCs A over Jacks A because of the extra silica.

I use the one part megacrop for vegetative up until half way through flip and then switch to the two part formula.

It's super easy and cheap. Don't have to worry about kelp, chitosan, B vitamins and all that crap through vegetative.

During start of vegetative I start with megacrop one part at about 1.0 EC and up it as needed until it's around 1.6 EC which is usually peak vegetative. I add in epsom as needed.

And then once I flip I go to the two part for more control through flowering. Starting around the same EC, and checking run off.

I do coco DTW, so always adjusting if necessary based off of run off... but the grows generally follow the same EC.

Megacrop just makes it simple and really really cheap. I'd be spending $30-$60 per 55 gallon reservoir depending on what bottled nutrients used... with megacrop it's like $3. If full flower I have to fill that reservoir twice a week.. not happening cost effectively unless I'm using a powdered nute.

Megacrop one part is great for flushing too. Makes it simple to mix up a quick 0.8 - 1.0 EC flush mix when the inevitable build up happens.

Yah, I'm a megafanboy... I paid way too much for water before, and this stuff makes it so cheap and simple. I'll never go back to bottled nutes.

Chittin can massivly lower yields and foxtailing and mc had this over jacks.. Do you think this cpuld have been the issue is they added toomany extras ontop...
If they left off the chitin i dont think you would experience this?
Also instagram is full of nute burn hook leaves and jscks page isnt....

Ive just ordered 25lb jacks 50 with 50 quid postage and 25lb mc at 80 and free. So cost difference aint much...
I dont care the price i pay on nutesbif i do good.

I get 35oz on advanced nutes no effort so if either 1 yields less.. Its not worth it
My nute save is 200quid.
If i loose 2 oz thats 300 quid.

So i do hope the hypes what it is on these nutes and find lit which is best.

I have a dtw coco side. By side 8 magic mellon under 2 dominator 8inch pannels 2 pumps 2 res 1 feed controller every 4 hrs 500ml each

I think greenleaf could make a better feeding schedule available to customers because I'm sure many look at the bag and just throw the 4g/gal on every plant. I started at 1g/gal just to see and even when the plant was 14 inches tall in the 6th week of veg it still couldn't handle 3g/gal. Now I've flipped to flower and 4g/gal alone isnt cutting it, need .5-1g of bud explosion or all my stems start purpling

No they turn back green after feeding so I use it as an indicator of how/when to feed now
